Hallellujah - someone whop understands. Oh, hang on, somebody will be telling us Brough could kick further - why did we get rid of him?

The off the ball running for the Calderwood and G.Horne try was very good but its a shame we had to go behind by so many points before we start actually spreading the ball out.
If you compared our sets from the first half when we were in Saints 20 to the sets in the second half it would look like a entirely different side.'"
Washy has been a massive miss for us this season, to have him and Whiting back is excellent news. Despite all the doom and gloom I don't think we are that far off being a good side and we could easily finish in the top four.

If anyone has played either code behind a pack that aren't making the yards they'll know what a tough ask it is, however good the half-back.

Its always the same though, we only ever start playing some decent rugby when the game looks to be gone or we are chasing it and the players think "might as well go for it now".

Agree Paul, Whiting is a big plus and Washy can make breaks and put people through gaps and help out Thorman and Horney.

| A massive positive from the game. First time i've seen him so was dissapointed he wasn't bigger as there's no doubt we lack size but thought he had a top game. The biggest plus was that he's obviously a bit of a ball player, he wasn't just driving it forward, he stepped a couple of times, looked good on his feet and crucially he does have some pace. Also a couple of massive hits, one on Fattyvaloo at one point.
Maybe had to play a little longer because unless i'm mistaken, King didnt return second half.

Plenty of ifs and buts.
Having now seen every team, I don't see Hull as a top 4 side and i don't see Rovers as one either (despite only being 1 point of third spot . )

As a matter of conjecture, if you went through the whole league, who would you see as top four based on their form so far?

As you have said on countless occaisions, Radford is used as a 3rd prop at LF as is the way the game is played now. Play him as a conventional prop and we may find a place for Washy/Whiting at LF and have a ball running LF.

Seeing Whiting back against Rovers was so refreshing. Someone with good defence, not a little guile, vision and (dare I say) showing some pace. Loose man or 6 would be a great spot for him.
