An absolute mountain of a player for us. I wouldn't swap him for any prop in superleague 

Be amazed if this happens but John Davidson linking us with James Harrison for next year

Would be one of the best domestic signings by any club for 2026 in Super League.

More than likely he’ll eventually use any offer from us to leverage a better deal out of Wire, same with any offer we make Toby King and also Bell at Saints. This new rule puts players in the driving seat but glad we seem to be putting ourselves about a bit early on. Very unlikely with these players at top clubs but there’s always a chance in a salary cap sport especially if we have a bit more wriggle room on the cap.

I suppose one thing with Harrison is that he’s a Yorkshire lad and has a family connection with the club. Like I say still highly unlikely but that’s one less obstacle compared to trying to relocate the top Lancashire based players who always prefer to stay that way. 

If we could add Harrison and Batchelor to our side, our pack would look really strong. Probably need another backrower, but could be more of a project signing.


Then a centre and halfback we would of equal quality to those and we would be challenging for the top 6 IMO.


Maybe a little early, but it's getting close to saying Myler is doing a very good job.

Just looked he is under contract until the end of 2026, so would involve  a fee, which I'm sure we would pay, but no sure Warrington would release him.

That's very unambitious Dave. We are challenging for top 6 this year.

If one has taught be over the years, is not to get carried away by a good start or good few games. The Cas and Wakey games will tell us a lot about where we are.

I agree with Dave, we have shown a massive improvement in attitude this year but there is a long way to go and we are reliant on a small number of key individuals with not much in the way of back up, plus we also need to ensure we don't see the usual end of season drop off. For me, at this stage, I'll be happy if we can finish the season above cas, wakey, Salford and hudds. Many higher will be a bonus.

I do think they is more of  chance than I thought, Wigan, Saints, Rovers, Warrington and Leigh should finish top 6, Leeds probably the favorites for the last spot, but they are very up and down and have only beat Salford and Cas so far, lost to Wakey. Be an interesting game with Catalans this weekend.
