So compare our list to Leeds then in the last 3/4 years what have they produced.....?

You asked for a list and several people gave you one and then you proceed to attack the list of players provided. Your are one of those fans right now that do nothing but criticise most aspects about the club.

In your efforts to protect the club from my criticism you attempted to turn a discussion into how effective the academy was into how many academy players had made first team appearances, disregarding the fact that the vast majority of those that have made first team appearances haven't been considered good enough in the long run.

Look at who, Leeds, Saints, Wigan and Bradford have produced since King made his debut 1998. Or, requiring less effort, see who the first 3 have produced and retained in 'recent' times.

Wigan - 2x Tomkins, McIlorum, Hansen, O'Loughlin, Presscott, with O'Carroll, Mossop, Tuson, Farrell and Charnley representing a very promising next generation.
Leeds - Burrow, McGuire, Smith, Hall, Sinfield, JJB, Ablett, Bailey, L. Burgess.
Saints - Wellens, Eastmond, Roby, Graham, Moore, Clough - and the likes of Wheeler, Lomax, Foster with plenty of promise.

Sobering.

I happen to think that the playing side of the club is being run extremely badly, the business side of the club appears to be being run extremely well.

You make a good point re Leeds but haven't they just replaced their under 20's coach as a result of this? Nobody other than me has even called Last's position into question

There was a big discussion last year about Last and Crooks and many people including myself reckoned the whole thing could do with shaking up and a new team being brought in so yes people have questioned him.

Perhaps you should put yourself forward?

To be fair to him, of the list of 8 players that was produced - 4 are no longer with the club, and only 2 are guarenteed a place in a fully fit starting 17. In the context of the overall debate, I think he has a point.

His point was also comparing us against other top sides though and as I have already said what have Leeds produced recently? What about Wire? Fair enough Wigan and Saints stand out a bit more but we are on a par with other leading clubs.
