I thought we planned to be there or thereabouts on it. Crocker can't have been on much more than £170k and I can't imagine paying off Byrne will have saved much. Something doesn't add up here, unless it's just all the win bonus savings we've made.

I'm interested to know how and when you saw all the player's contracts. Genuinely interested. Also how you know how much Todd Byrne's severance agreement was. And how much we are paying Cordoba/Broughton etc. You'll understand that it is difficult to accept your claim when the information you claim to know would be confidential.

As for Maloney - surprising although it may have been something he was looking for. He may know he is to be released. Maybe Halifax are interested in 'trialling' him for next year ? I don't know. Put his heart into the games I've seen him play, which is more than some for sure, but not big enough for SL prop.

I'm sure you feel that your source is solid, but for me the figures don't add up. We know for a fact that we were up to (and indeed over) the cap in the recent past, and most of the big earners from then are either still here or have been replaced by players on similarly large contracts. Apart from Crocker, where has all the extra cash been saved?

Smart ar$e i don't need to see the contracts of every player to know we are way off the cap, quite suprising who and what you get to know, but hey you go along with the spin doctor im sure he could convince you otherwise

If you haven't seen documentary evidence then you're just taking someone's word for it. That may be enough for you but I prefer hard evidence or at least something that tallies with the facts in the public domain.

I've known any number of people who 'should know' that have got things wrong. Even on here we had a director being quoted as a source when someone claimed that Crocker had got his visa and was in the UK.
