| Cartwright not messing about, signed 3 props since he’s been here. Refreshing as previous regime would have plodded on with Fash, Gardiner and Laidlaw most weeks.

| Adding Eseh and also Knight certainly adds a bit of size back to the pack after losing Ligi. I don't think Eseh is good enough for Wigan's pack (certainly not at present), they're absolutely stacked in the forwards, so hopefully he goes really well for us and we could pursue the option of making it permanent. Though if they're losing Byrne next season they may be keen on keeping him

| Decent, adds a bit of size which we desperately need at the minute. That John Davidson is a clown about 5 minutes before the announcement he said “looks likely” about Eseh, all reputable journalists were told hours ago, im still waiting for Drinkwater to sign

| Thought he looked a bit of a pudding last season tbh but then again so did all the team. Hopefully in a better environment we'll see a better side of him this season

| Think it was Cas at home when Eseh had a really good game off the bench, got recalled by Wigan after that I believe. He was by far the best out of the 3 young loan forwards we had last season.

| Adds a bit of size and competition for places I guess , Been around a few clubs and still only 21 but Peet must have seen some potential in him so see how he goes with us for the season .

| I don't mid Eseh and glad it is for the year, gives us the chance to have a look at him and could be long term signing and replacement for Sao. Would have been even better if we had got him and used the quota spot on another position. Still concerns me that we will now have 6 props for the Leigh game and one backrower. Feel like Knight isn't needed, but him signing might be more to do with the quality available rather than position. Worries me the coaching staff keep playing Fash in the backrow.

Think the fundamental issue though Dave is the lack of available quality out there to bring in regards to the 2nd row options. Seems the clubs plans on recruitment are based on the long term, so it could also be that they already have irons in the fire so to speak that cover the back row from 2026 onwards, which may make any interim signings more difficult unless they were loans. Just highlights how poor our retention and recruitment has been over the last 5 years or so since the likes of Gaz, Mini & Sika retired, other than Manu Mau have we gone out and signed any real quality 2nd rowers since then? Being honest we took a punt on Savelio with his injury record and Jones the least said the better, we moved Griff to 2nd row and he out performed our 'seasoned' 2nd rowers before Smith pretty much dumped him.

| Our back row and outside backs used to be amazing when you think about it and how we completely underperformed with that team under radford

In fairness Josh Jones was a GB International and Grand Finalist when he signed so was a coup. It just didn't work out. And with the benefit of hindsight maybe his 'long COVID car sickness' was an early sign of his brain problems he sadly has now. We will never know
