Agreed, yes, not trying to find them another club behind their back. He'd probably have grounds for constructive dismissal

I'd be very surprised if he is here next season but if he does go then we need to bring in 2 props.

We don't that happend do we?
He could have been told that he was free to leave a while ago, which is what I got told a while back (along with a few other players)

Based on what, how do you know how he feels, is there a quote I've missed?

He is the club's employee, if they don't want him and release him from his contract or reach a settlement agreement with him they can do as they like. Isn't that how sporting contracts usually work both ways if it suits either party (Trueman, Sutcliffe)?
If no one wants him or we don't pay him off he stays.
Common sense really I thought
At the end of the day in the sporting industry players are commodities that are bought & sold, and whilst they have a contract a club is and should be perfectly within their rights to shop a player or players around if they feel it is the best interest of the club. Its no different to a player or players that sign contracts with a club but then ask to be released to move to another club etc.
Obviously its more typical/common in other sports such as football due to the money available and player values compared to RL but the basic concept/principle remains the same.

| We are weak at prop now. Even though he can be a liability he's twice the prop Fash is and the kids are way off.
If we lose Sao we need two very good props.
For me to feel it we need a new centre (actually happy with Hardaker) and any signing that means Lane doesn't occupy a starting slot.
Have the same reservations as everyone on Cust and Abdull, but, against the grain, I'm quote optimistic about Sezer.

| If Cartwright can sort Sao’s disciplinary issues then he gets my vote. He spent too many games sat in the stands suspended and injured for me and that’s why the rumours of him being offered have come about, not unlike Josh Griffin.

| Apparently we've signed Liam Byrne from Wigan.
Thoughts?
Mine are good player, aggressive, needs to keep his discipline in check

Would add fuel to the Sao out rumour.
Byrne would be a decent signing. A regular in the Wigan side, doesn't miss many games and is experienced but still relatively young.

Fair enough. He'd be a good signing if something is genuinely in it.
He's not got massive minutes at Wigan lately, Peet prefers Havard, Thompson and Ellis who all play big minutes as starters.
They still have plenty of options at prop too. Harvie Hill will probably replace Cooper plus they have Eseh and Chan coming back in, although I'm not sure either are 'Wigan quality'

Yep. Him and Cooper/Hill plus Letuele for Sao and I'll sleep more soundly this winter. Still have the occasional nightmare though.
