| Toronto will walk that division. But again, we were playing a young side for 40mins against what are established first grade players. Though Turgut was strong today. First half the backs looked good getting the ball wide early

| Thought we would have lost that looking at the team for the 2nd half cause Toronto look pretty solid and will post some big scores this year. Young lads did well to hold on and get the win. I liked the look of Turgut today.
Still some massive names to come into the team and really looking forward to seeing us at full strength. Talanoa and Griffin look mightily strong on the edge together and Kelly is gonna be worth so many more points to this team.

Agree with all that. Would add that Watts and Shaul both looked really fresh. Chuck Ellis, Houghton, Mini, Manu, Taylor, Bowden into the mix (nailed on in our starting 17) and good signs.

I may be biased but do you really think you have serious strength in depth, listen we are e, got relegated whatever, this isn't meant to be a dig, but I really think if you get 5-6 injuries to key players then you wont in my opinion match last seasons achievements.
We are in the same boat regards serious back up, both teams don't seem to have any youngsters (by youngsters I mean under 20) coming through. I just think that should say, Houghton, Minichello, Sneyd and Taylor were missing for a few games, then you will struggle, similar to us last year.
I think that is why Radford hasn't gone full tilt in your friendlies.
(and I'm sure ive seen a video clip of Radford saying something similar regarding back up for injuries)
And on another point, after watching the Toronto game, Fonua is a beast and has great skill, but is very prone to brain farts and a lot of mistakes, maybe why he is here and not in the NRL

5/6 injuries we will be fine, we had that at times last season at times and won games.
If we get more than that, then maybe, but most teams would, fringe players won't look as good, when playing with 10 other fringe players against more senior players, but put them in the first team with better players and they will go ok.
Players like Naughton, Green, Thompson, Michaels, Logan, Naughton etc are very good squad players, plus the young kids, we will be fine.

| On the game, I thought we looked very good with ball in the hand in the first half, Kelly is going to great for us and I like the threat Fonua offers off the wing, particularly in the air. Thought Griffin looked very dangerous going forward and Tala will do well off him.
A couple of soft try's first half and poor discipline, how many times did we concede a penalty on the 4th/5th and this continued throughout.
Struggled first 20 mins of the 2nd half against a much more physical side, but was pleased with the way they held there own last 20 with virtually a reserve side. Very impressed with Turgut.
Thought Toronto looked good for their first hit out and will walk the league, wouldn't be far off top 4 in the championship.

Masi Matongo went off with a knock, and Connor's not back yet.

| of course if most teams lose 5/6 players it will have an effect, but as dave said in the backs we have naughton michaels, conner logan when fit, who imo could cover ok, in the forwards we have Hadley green washbrook Thompson turgut and even masi who I believe could do a job for us , so yes I do think we have strength in depth but in any team if you have more than 5/6 first teamers out you will srtuggle

| Interesting game, Toronto looked good first half but our experience shone through with the halfs looking good, Watts and Griffin doing well
Second half and it was like we were playing our side of three years ago - one out rugby, no direction, no grunt apart from Masi who didnt last long, Targut looked the best of the young ones out there but as for the rest well hmmmmm

Realise we wouldnt have Kelly but still think we will miss big Frank.
Short of a Super League experienced prop in my opinion

| thought Toronto looked very strong first half against our better side they looked stronger than rovers last time against our young guns doubt they will lose in game in the league they are in, overall I thought we got something out of it the senior players blew the cobwebs off for 30/40 mins and the young lads held there own second half good hit out and some stand out performances from Lane for the young guys Talona who looked so strong when running a real handful as always

| Enjoyed the game but bloody hell was it cold.
Impressed with Kelly, nice link up with Tuimavave and Fonua. Griffin and Talanoa showed early signs of what could be a very dangerous partnership. Some concerns with the goal line defence but we were obviously missing some big names.
Toronto look a very decent side. I hope they are a big success, would be great to see them in Super League in a few years.

| Enjoyed it as well and it was nice to see some Toronto supporters there.
I was sat next to a father / daughter from Canada who travelled across from the west riding who both enjoyed the game. Daughter thought it was much better than football as it was "so much more violent" - father loved the family atmosphere which was topped off by the FC fan sat behind me gifting them his match day programme.
From todays showing they will do well.
