| Quote: Panda92 "Did anyone else notice Crooks saving a try on the left wing in about the 51st minute.
Brown almost scores on our right edge. Ball is played about 3 metres from touch and is taken over to our left side by Hudds.
As soon as the ball was played Crooks sprinted across our ingoal to the left wing and managed to collect Hudds' kick-through, pretty much saving a try.
Great read of the game by him. Think he'll have a good future.'"
I'm surprised he got there in time, apparently he's very slow.

| Talking about being slow - or not so - what about Whiting getting back to save that breakaway try? I've always said his speed is much-maligned.

| Overall I'm not convinced we deserved it today. We did some good things, but we were also awful at times and as clueless as ever aside from a handful of players. Heremaia looks a very good acquisition, Watts also looked promising, Seymour tried very hard but simply lacked enough around him to work with (a couple of the poor pieces of play I think were actually down to desperation/frustration to make [isomething[/i happen), Horne was solid at fullback, Briscoe worked really hard and produced some good breaks, and I'm another who thought Westerman was one of our better players. On the downside, our execution showed some sloppiness in what seemed to be perfect conditions, we seemed to lack urgency and the effort to do the ugly things in several aspects of play, we were again given a lesson in kicking, and we still don't wrap the ball up enough.

Why is it that over teams kick-offs vary from time to time, yet DT's is so fooking predictable........It's so annoying

To be fair to him he did do a short one to get the ball back and we went on to win the game from that. I know what you mean though he always kicks to the bottom right.

Its not just that it is always to the bottom right either, it is always to the 2nd/3rd man from the post, every single time!

Spot on, i just thought it was our group who see how predictable it is, it's not as if he kicks it in a different way like Brough did or Sinfield or Richards do with plenty of height or a spiralling ball.

cartoons/WB17.gif I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.
Money doesn't talk it swears, Obscenity who really cares, Propaganda all is phony.
I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

| Curious game to say the least. Good in parts combined with some head-banging moments of frustration in others. We kept having little five minute spells when we looked lively and eager for work, then suddenly we would become the disorganized rabble we've come to know and dread these recent weeks.
Thought Huddersfield weren't any better overall, and I suspect today's topsy-turvy game had more than a little to do with the erratic form of both teams in recent weeks. Both Hudds and ourselves have seen a season which promised a great deal in mid May slipping away from us on the back of some dispiriting results.
The odd thing is, after the run we've had since Good Friday, we now sit only 2pts off 4th and although I would be surprised to see us finish inside the top 4 given our fixture list, today's gutsy win has at least put us back in that group chasing a top 4 spot.
Hopefully today's win will be a shot of confidence to take forward into the season's run in. A defeat today may have seen the season unravel completely. A little more consistancy in the 80 minutes and we are still capable of competing with anyone, but we still have to improve on today for that to happen.

| Both teams looked good and bad in spells and it was apt as it went right down to the wire! However i thought we lost it rather than you won it, basic errors at 18-10 let you back into the game and again at 24-22 we threw it away, but credit to hull for fighting til the end and trying that kick off, i dont think either team deserved to win or lose but ultimately you snatched the win.

Funny that, I thought we kept you in it with poor play and basic errors and almost threw it away

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

| thought Nicklas looked alright
wouldn't mind trying
1 Horne
6 Heremaia
7 Seymour
9 Houghton
13 Westerman
14 Nicklas
could give us the right pivots in the right places, maybe Russel off the bench while he's still here
