“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Just a pity Agar insists on playing him at 13 when he clearly isnt...everytime he gets ball as 1st reciver,it all bloody slows down...we have Westerman or Washbrook who can play 13 and be faster.

| Quote: spegs "Usual suspects making the same mistakes as the start of the season, poor kicking game. The pseudo false dawn mid season has been the worst thing to happen to the club this year as it ensured Agar's tenure would last at least to the end of the year. Until he goes and we change our tactics, improve our interchanges and stop signing "average" players the club will remain between 8-10th which is simply not good enough.
Our class players; Briscoe, Manu et al, will soon get itchy feet due to the lack of ambition and success at the club.'"

We let in 5 soft tries.
Thought you were average yesterday and there for the beating but we weren't up to it. You are a much better team than you showed yesterday but I think wigan and warrington are the 2 best sides in the comp, with you and saints on a relatively even footing with leeds 5th best.

| Quote: barham red "Hudds half backs / hooker are a match for nearly anyone, their kicking game is scarey good at times. They have a youngish british team that has a very good mix of pace and power and imo it is more mobile, quicker and has more options in attack than fc.
I think their recruitment has been very good. Fc still rely on out muscling a team and stifling the oppo, which they did very well for a lot of the game yesterday but until you get more pace in the halves and a decent kicking game hudds look better on paper and on grass.
Im not oversold on Browns tactics as i think a great coach would have added discipline and ball retention and would have won something with them by now.'"
brown has transformed them. he's assembled a team which is getting towards being genuine challengers yet has no real stars in it. He's made good players out of average ones and they perform close to their optimum regularly

Because they just kept going through the motions. Hull tried to match them down the middle so they were pleased to just go through the motions.

| all i have heard mostly on this is that hull lost the game. i am a giants fan and i couldnt tell who the worst side was. both made bad mistakes both defences looked clueless on the try line. some good finishing by hodgson and the kicking game of brough won us the game. but i wouldnt say u lost that game coz we was trying to let you back in the game with silly penalties and mistakes.
but when a game is that scrappy and is up for grabs the better team normally comes through and gets the win. may not have been the best win of the season but you only get 2 points how ever u win a game.
i do feel hull are a good team tho but you deffo need to sort your halfs out for next season i mean long hardly plays and im sure is taking up a nice little bit of your salary cap so him going maybe a good step forward

| Our lack of possession killed us yesterday and I was concerned that we succumbed to Huddersfield's tactics. They are very good at getting three in a tackle and slowing the PTB ball down. Having going yesterday and watching the game back on Sky you hear Alibert shouting 'Move' and the tacklers don't move for a second or so. We don't get a penalty because, as they mentioned on the commentary, we don't seem to be making the effort to get up.
For me, the stand out difference in the two teams was our lack of half backs. Obviously RH had to drop back to FB with Phelps going off, but I don't then understand not bringing Turner on. Surely that would have had least impact on the game plan and forward rotation strategy (assuming such a thing exists). Our kicking game, as it has been all season (the exception being the Rovers game), was woeful and goes hand in hand with our inability to build and maintain pressure. Repeat sets are a rarity and I think I would cheer a 40/20 as much as a try.
Hopefully the back line can't have as bad a day at the office two weeks in a row because if Newton is back for Rovers then I fear for next week.

| Yeah, the choice of replacements was surreal really. But Agar has previous here doesn't he. Don't play your replacement back for the injured back. Do play players out of position. Do let the other 15 players do more work than necessary etc etc. He's not right in the head.
Having said that, reality bites i'm afraid, we're probably a 6-8th place side but when we're slightly off our game like yesterday we are likely to get turned over by most sides. Hudds wern't brilliant but whilst they have a player like Brough in their ranks they'll win games at that level.
We were shoddy at Salford bar the first 20 mins and pretty awful last week at widnes, anyone who saw both games would have to say we were never going to win yesterday playing as we have been.

Another interchange masterstroke of leaving one of your subs until 60 minutes have elapsed

Wire revel against weak opposition whereas we are too full of ourselves. They pile up the points against poor oppsition whereas we tend to think we only have to turn up, which NB needs to sort. Against the best teams we have now started playing our better rugby. We've beaten Wire twice this season, pumped Leeds and Saints. Only Wigan let us down because they defended superbly and we couldn't turn possession into points. We lost but we played well.
I'm not convinced we'll lift a pot this season but we're a better team than we get credit for on Sky and on here.

You remind me a lot of Hull under Brian Smith. No real superstars, everyone knows what their job is and does it very well. I

The current administration appears to believe that only big names like Long, O'Meley and Fitz will satisfy the fans, when in reality we'd rather see a team of McMenemys and Saxtons that can perform as a cohesive unit and deliver above their individual potential. OK, maybe I'm exaggerating, but you know what I mean.
