Ignoring his past history, both in the court room and who he played for he still wouldn't make sense as a signing. He's getting old for a winger and though he has had a very good record with regard to avoiding injuries, age and the way he plays mean that continued good health is by no means guaranteed. Add to that he's apparently after 3 years (can't blame him for trying it on) and it just doesn't make sense to spend on a what is after all, his faults and assets considered, an average middle of the road winger.

If we are going to settle for a non star winger to replace Briscoe, but insist on one who is prepared to put in a good effort every time a why not bring back Will Sharp? Younger, probably cheaper and doesn't have the character issues.

And no I'm not seriously advocating this but it makes a lot more sense than Cockend.
