He is right! Spot on not one player at hull who can take the game by the scruf of the neck.

| I think what people are forgetting is that miller was brought in for next season and that is when he should be judged. With a full off season under his belt I'm confident he will be a pivotal player for us next season, and hopefully for many years to come. He's a raw talent and he just needs nurturing. He certainly doesn't lack ability; he's energetic, skillful, and has a good attitude, the only thing he lacks is experience, hardly surprising given he's just turned 21. I've been very impressed with the kid from what I've seen so far, if anything I think he tries too hard at times (I wish the same could be said for some of our other players). I agree he's not the 'type of player' we required but it's unfair to criticise him because of that. Hes still a good player who is only going to get better. Looking forward to seeing how he goes next year.

i hope your right but hes come from playing in the nrl and representing at state of origin to not been good at all maybe because hes no one around him to look to for guidance broughy was 22 when he won the CC for us in 2005 playing alongside recognised ball players at the time in horne/cooke/swain so maybe its holdsworth and co not doing there jobs around him. radders will make him a better defender if he is to stay at kc.

| Just dont get this thread at all. I take it that all the Miller knockers were also calling Yeaman not good enough after he got his backside handed to him the first half dozen games he played for us. Hull didnt have attacking direction before he arrived with Horne and Holdsworth, so i'm not sure what people expected. Hull play very much not to lose, rather than looking to win. Behind a pack with go forward and dummy runners, the kid will be fantastic.
How about we actually see the product next year before we find a new scapegoat.

That could well be plural next year if things don't pan out.
Sir Richard will get immunity but you'll probably be able to throw the coaching staff and the rest of the players into a bag right now and give it a good shake.

I'll go for Miller and Holdsworth. Im sure Ellis will have a good shout. Crookes is another to mention. Yeaman has an outside chance and I reckon Feka's name will be mentioned too. Any I've missed off?

Pitts?
But if we started looking at our No9 we might go a long way too seeing where a lot of our problems originate from.
Just saying, like.

He does need to improve distribution. I think our biggest problem is not fighting to get off the deck. We're just so slow at the lay the ball.

But he should be in the England squad and can tackle dead good.

| Quote: Chris71 "I just dont get the bagging of Miller, ok he's not at times been great but for me thats not becuase of a lack of ability or talent more because of a lack of composure largely in part due to being dropped in at the deepend mid season with a HB partner in Holdsworth that has been it and miss.
I think Miller will be much better for us after a pre season under his belt. A little more composure in both his passing & kicking will I feel see a marked improvement in his displays for us.
At least he's been one of the few to try and make things happen in an attacking sense and maybe a little too hard when other more senior players have been found wanting.'"
Exactly. He's been thrown in the deep end with a team who are inept in attack. He has obvious talent.
I sense another weird scapegoat, a la Westerman.

It's all well and good saying that but point us in the direction of realistic alternatives. Miller needs time and patience from the fans. We do not want another Seymour incident on our hands.

I'd say Jamie Carragher's made a good start to life as a pundit too and a lot are tipping him to be a manager one day. He lives and breathes football.

Horne will no doubt get the blame by some of the usual haters.

| Millers tried his best and doesn't stop. He's not helped by an ineffectual pack who can't find the floor and get a quick PTB. Watch the other teams and compare with ours. It Holdsworth who needs replacing, not Miller. The kid clearly has talent. Holdsworth shows up in 3 or 4 games.
We need a "Dobson" to take us around the park, and that ain't Holdsworth.
