| Quote GEvans75="GEvans75"A clear out would be great but it wont and can't happen.
I'd love to see the club get shot of Yeaman, Crookes, Johnson, Holdsworth but we'd struggle to find takers.'"
Wakey would have Johnson back if they had the money plus Holdsworth as we need a half back. Infact we can only afford 15 players for next season.
Could you loan them two and pay their wages for a season?

| Quote Jake the Peg="Jake the Peg"Because he's too small to be effective at prop. Couldn't even get a game at wakefield'"
Wrong. He was in the 17 that played the last 7 games of the season unbeaten at Wakey and played in the play off defeat against Leeds last season where we got narrowly beaten.
Johnson was popular with Wakey fans because he ran the ball in hard although you are correct he is not a prop as he's not big enough he is a second row.

What about the first 20 games?

| Holdworth is a good player but, he has been hugely inconsistent this year and that has had a big effect on us. Could see him going if we could get a replacement.
Yeaman I don't want to see leave as I'm a huge fan but, he has had his worst ever season and offers absolutely nothing in attack. Arundel has to be in front of him now surely.
McDonnell could go so that Shaul keeps his spot but then it leaves us short of cover.
Tbh I don't see wholesale changes as I don't see who we could sign as replacements. Unless AP is going pay some fees!

| I've been a fan of DJ since he was at Salford, but he has been inconsistent at Hull. Our attack is one of the worst in the league and DJ was expected to help change that, but if the players around him are useless like they are. They can't even offer themselves as options/runners. Then what can DJ do on his own?

Quote Jake the Peg="Jake the Peg"What about the first 20 games?'"
From memory that last season with Wakefield Trinity he played quite a few games up until a poor performance against Wigan then was dropped and didn't play for 7 or 8 games but then played a key part in the last 7 games where we were unbeaten. He played 47 games for Wakey in 2 seasons. He is not a prop though IMHO although Wakey wanted to keep him but as usual the bigger club offers more money chews them up for one season and spits them out as substandard. He'd be better sticking with Wakey like Kirmond!
www.loverugbyleague.com/news_103 ... hnson.html
[iHe made just two appearances for Saints before making the move to Wakefield ahead of the 2011 season, and was a virtual ever present last season.
Hull Head Coach Peter Gentle said: "We’re really pleased to have secured a deal for Paul, a player who has impressed throughout this season with his no-nonsense, committed approach to the game.
"He can play big minutes if required and his performances over the last couple of seasons at Wakefield will show everyone his pedigree and exactly why we wanted to bring him to the KC Stadium."

No , he's second rate , at least he's lower half of the table rate and will never be anything better than that. he will end up dropping a division before he reaches his late 20's. Another honest , grafter who won't let you down but just not likely to be a winner without some exceptional quality around him.

| Dj has had how many different hb partners this season? Miller came in half way through, and we havent had a pack big enough or strong enough to lay a platform for the half backs.
Getting bigger forwards to shatter defences , like feka and paea and a full pre season for miller nd dj to work together and we will see the best put of the half backs. Yeamo hashad his time, offers nothing in attack and has cost us in defence many many times whn he flies out the line. Cant get rid of horney and johnson is second rower

Yeamo will get plenty of game time next season if his mate Radders is picking the team.

| To be fair to Yeaman & also Briscoe who have both had an indifferent season the lack of ball they have had this season hasn't helped and further compounded by the game plan of using Ellis as an extra battering ram rather than using his ability with a more effective game plan.

| Quote WormInHand="WormInHand"While I don't for one second want rid of Ellis he should never have been given the captaincy over Lynch. By his own admission Ellis captains by 'leading by example' (very much, dare I say it, like Radders did - not saying much on the pitch at all). You don't need to be captain to display that sort of leadership, invaluable though his experience, steadying influence and presence is.
I'd make Whiting captain and give him a start at loose man every match, now Lynch has gone. Sadly, I think if Lynch had retained the captaincy he'd still be here.'"
whiting captain and starting loosemen 100 percent agree
