Fair enough.
I withdraw my point, whatever it was.
I wonder if his vision has us playing at NCP or the KC.

I've no idea tbh, I miss him on the radio. Used to keep me ammused for hours.

Quite. Damn the council and their "Put up or shut up" ultimatum.

| Back on topic, I enjoyed visiting all of the traditional rugby league grounds including Post Office Road with the fearsome local women, Crown Flatt with its sloping pitch, The Weaste (park your car and hope), Wilderspool (scary) and generally ended up p*ssing wet through from the incessant rain but it was often worth it.
My personal 'worst' is Odsal, always a sh*theap and bloody annoying Bully Bully to boot (please).

My main memory of Wilderspool was the day Bruce McGuire tried to decapitate our team. I think we had 7 players with head and neck injuries after that game. Wrote an irate letter that got published in the green Sports Mail.

| My only good memory of Wilderspool was the CC rd3 game were we beat them with 11 men, w@nky fans were decidely not happy that day...lmao
My local team played there in 2005 when in the old Nat. League 3, jeez, it really had gone downhill (made NCP almost look half decent)

Personally, I'd say New Craven Park.
Less than one and a half stands and miles from the pitch. As for re-development, they should just flatten it and build something like what Warrington have done.
I suggested this once on their Board and the natives got restless, asking me if I have ever been to Belle Vue. Well Yes, I have been to Wakefield and I stand any my view.
Thoughts?'"
Nice little leading question here!!! This is like asking the French Resistance in 1942 who their most hated enemies are - Germany or Japan?
Thanks for suggesting on Rovers board - I am sure your thoughts well received!

Don`t worry Baz,if Craven Park was like a palace we would still want it nuked.

. . .The new North Stand effectively replacing the much-derided (though rarely used) South Stand will be a big step forward.
The North Stand is not at all 'replacing' the South Stand - the South Stand is being upgraded by the golf stand and will be promoted as the away fans enclosure - I have even heard it will have a roof!!!!.

| For stewarding and matchday food/refreshments the KC is by far the worst in SL - by a country mile. . .IMO!
The best stand, view, atmosphere and facilities in SL is the East Stand at MS3CP (this is a value-free opinion lol).
The worst ground in SL is The Stoop - it sort of growls at the thought of league being played on union's hallowed turf. The atmosphere is that deadening you may as well have gone to the KC o watch FC (maybe not).
Many people diss Wakefields ground but I can literally fall out of the pub onto the terraces for what is a sky-line view compared with the rest of the stadium.
The most entertaining stadium is Headingley - win or lose its a cracking atmosphere. . . even if it is sarling down.

| How on earth Mrs B was allowed to introduce thread drift I don't know lol! But she did mention the KDC and inferred from this that the Council own MS3CP. I think consideration as to who owns the KDC is called for first before making it a fact or even an assumption.
As far as I am aware, the KDC is a non-profit organisation (unlike the SMC) which is the acting caretaker and legal gaurdian of the land leased by the Council to Hull Kingston Rovers Limited. A nominal rent (undisclosed) is paid annually. HKR Ltd 'own' the leases and are liable for all repairs and maintenance of the property assigned under the leases. HKR Ltd have to aply for development of leasehold land from the KDC.
The qestion is who are the main parties running the KDC? The answer to this I don't know!!!!! However, an old mucker of mine Don Robinson told me when Gainsgroup was no longer required (once the CVA had been satisfied), the new organisation would be fronted by the Chairperson of HKR Ltd, a representative from the Council and another party (in Gainsgroup it was a local foirm of chartered accountants). I don't know if this happened.

I did not "introduce thread drift", I was responding directly to a question. No introduction of the topic by me, cockle.

| Quote: knockersbumpMKII "Ahsleyheard1989, your reasoning that The stoop memorial is 'THE' worst ground in SL make no sense at all. It is easily one of the better stadiums with excellent facilities and very friendly fans, sure it isn't particularly easy to get to & yes it hasn't been near full aside from a Saints game a few years back. But to say it is the worst or one of the worst grounds because of it not having a capacity crowd is a pituful reason & not valid in any way. You can't base a 'worst' stadia on your criteria...'"
Ok thenm it may not be the worst.. But its the most wasted use of a stadium in the super league..
