Fitz from the bench would be a good move and as a prop would be even better. He won't have to play the full 80 minutes which would mean he wouldn't become a penalty machine like he has done recently.

Well it depends on injuries. If I were the coach Westerman would have played 13 from the start and Fitz as a bench prop. Fitz plays like a prop so it makes sense to have him and O'Meely seperated so at least one of them is on the pitch at the same time and we don't also flog Fitz to death.

I am only playing Westy at 6 as I don't want Briscoe and Sharp one the same wing together. Washy's best games have come at 13 as that is what he is a 13.

I just can't see the logic in not starting Fitz. I agree that he needs to be spelled, but don't understand why people think he is a prop.He has never played prop in the NRL, so why would he become a prop now. He used to play 2nd row but has lost his pace now, so he plays 13 because of his work ethic and ability to lead by example. Playing 13 allows him to play in the middle and not on the edge like 2nd rows do. Also he is the captain so why have him on the bench if he is fit.

Fitz has played as an extra prop for the last two seasons.

But that is the problem, in his head he is a workhorse, but the reality he isn't anymore. He was falling off/not completing tackles after 60 minutes last week, no fault of his own.

Yea agree with him missing tackles. He has missed 7 in 2 games and last season he missed 26 in 20 games. I would spell him as a 13, but have Westerman more involved in our attack once we are in there half. When Fitz is off the pitch play Westerman at 13. Fitz does loads of graft in defence and that is why I would keep him at 13 in the opening exchanges of the game.

Correct, the problem is Agar believes he is still and 80 minute workhorse but sadly he is not, and his tiredness leads to mistakes.

Yea thats my point. He needs to play the first and last 30 minutes.He does not make enough impact with ball in hand to play prop. What he does is the dog work to get the team moving. Intresting stat is that Radford is our biggest yard maker per carry so far this season with 6.8m per carry. Fitz is at 5.4m per carry.

Fitz revived his career in the NRL by playing prop and even got a recall to the NSW side on the back of it and played prop for them too I believe. Watch the Leeds and Rovers games, he passes the ball 2/3 times in total. All he does is get the ball and run down the middle and tackles everything that moves. He and Ogre are our two best props so one of them should be on the field at all times. Having Fitz coming on (around the 20 min mark) with Moa is a perfect combination. People say we drop once Ogre goes off, not with Fitz coming on we won't. Plus Fitz could then sty on for the rest of the game and we could use Moa is shorter/sharper spells and utitlise Ogre better too.

Plsu Fitz would burn out less and be less likely to pick up injuries.

But by playing less minutes he would have more energy on his carries and could then make more yards possibly.
