On the flipside of the doom and gloom stories , Great to see over 60k tickets sold for the Ashes , Headingley sold out , Evertons new ground not far off either .
I've read that Simon Moran at Warrington who has loads of experience promoting Take That, Oasis and others was involved in getting the Aussies to commit and so far the promo has been a lot better. Doing a 'pre sale' might be a nonsense but it's what all the big music acts do. The game needs to be using knowledge and experience like that when it can. Also why haven't Australia played England for 7 years?? It's the best box office draw we have

| So The cats out of the bag but not out of SL if you believe the latest from the NRL supposed SL take over . Les Dragons & TO look to be safe under a new 10 team SL with us , Rovers , Leeds , Wigan , Wire, Saints plus two more with possibly London been one. 33% stake is the call from the NRL for full administrative control .

Not seeing the benefit of cutting Wakefield adrift when they've had some 8k gates (with good away followings admittedly) also maybe just maybe a smaller ground (in Halifax and eventually back home) is what Huddersfield need to build. Cas also get solid gates compared to the Championship clubs. What is putting Toulouse in adding except more travel costs? French TV barely pay a euro for the rights. London have tried and failed for 40 years, even Richard Branson couldent crack it and ive always found the idea that fans down south will tune in just because theres an unsucessful club with 2k crowds on the the TV far fetched. I'd just swap Salford for Bradford and keep the same format.

We also have a weak governing body that allows the chairmen with self interest to walk all over it . The game is heading towards another civil war with pot shots already starting from some within the game . The game needs a strong governing body with leadership and a clear direction ,to start balancing the books and to finally make money and take away the power from the current system were the chairmen are dictating the norm .

I believe He'l only have the best of intentions.

You've got to admire both Wire & Wigan's passion to try something different like getting onto the Vegas bash , And totally independent from any RFL interference or involvement. I believe Moran is responsible for the new ticketing arrangement for the ashes , It's been 10 x better than using the old farcical system .

| A ten team league is crazy. Uneven fixture lists and with play offs and the Cup potentially playing some teams four or five times a season.

For quite a few years super league hasn't been able to sustain 12 quality teams, there tends to be teams that just aren't competitive or teams that are in financial trouble, if you go back the past few seasons you've had: Salford and Huddersfield this year Us and London in 2024 Wakefield in 2023 Toulouse in 2022 Leigh in 2021 Toronto in 2020 etc A competitive 10 team league, even if it has teams playing each other 3 times, will be far more appealing to broadcasters than the current league with 12 teams where you know at least 1 or 2 will be uncomeptitve each year and lead to blow out scores.

We have uneven fixtures now, 10 teams playing each other 3 times is fairer than now where a team could get their loop games v cas, hudds and Salford, and another could have loop fixtures v rovers, Wigan and Leigh say. Expanding to 14 isnt the answer either, especially if you take the french teams out, there just isn't the player pool to sustain it.
