| Don't buy cash tickets - use contactless credit card. Much much cheaper.

Also is it best to get rail ticket from stanmore to wembley in advance or from the station on the day, Thanks Terry'"
Parking on a drive - you would be ok at 11am, but for the station car park - no later than 10am.
As others say, pay for tickets by contactless card - its only 1.50 each way for an adult using this method. By cash is 4.90 each way !!!!
Takes 2-3 hours to Stanmore as you don't contend with the squeeze at the end of the M1 at Brent Cross.

| What's this 2-3 hours nonsense! From Hull to stanmore is never 2 hours, not even close, maybe if you do it at night and ignore the speed cameras.
Coming down the M1 that's 208 miles, coming down the A15/A46/A1 that's just short of 180.
I flit between North herts/Hull/London regularly and you should allow for 3.5-4 hours travelling given you've got a lot of Saturday traffic coming into London normally anyway.
But if you think you can average 104mph all the way point to point then knock yourself out!

| The Moon on the Hill at Harrow still open. One stop past Wembley, we drank in here before 2013 and it was a good laugh and dead easy to get to the ground and not packed. Already agreed to meet some Bramley Buffalos mates in there & usually full of Cas Tigers fans.

Well I was just asking for a bit of advice, I have not done it this way before as last few times I have stayed for the weekend. You may notice I originally said that I actually thought 2 to 3 hours wasn't enough so just wondered what time others were setting off just as a guide. I have no intention of averaging 104 mph nor do I expect to get anywhere near that speed so keep your sarcastic arrogant comments to yourself and knock yourself out!
Thanks to others who posted replies to my question,
Terry

| If I were driving from Hull, I'd give myself 4 hours for the journey.
There are a few 50 mile an hour stretches (around Notts) which keep the traffic flowing but clearly slow you down a bit.

And I was responding to the person above my post that said it was only 2-3 hours which is extremely poor advice!
It made it seem as if it was possible in two hours, that's clearly massively inaccurate hence why i was being forceful to point out that error otherwise leaving only a couple of hours to travel would leave people in a lot of bother.

| I checked ack after putting 2-3 hours and google says 3 hrs 5 minutes. I intend to leave around 6.30am to take a steady drive with a stop and to allow for traffic. I got caught out in 2and it took 5 plus hours and we got into Wembley 5 minutes before abide with me.

| Parking at Stanmore, plan to leave Hull at 7, arrive by about 10:30, was going to have a couple in Stanmore, so if there are no pubs near the station, might have to get off on the way to Wembley for a pint (Any recommendations?).
Also planning to meet friends at the Torch, has anyone been there before, is it that packed and hard to get a drink?

| As a resident of Stanmore, I can tell you that there is absolutely nowhere to drink there. The only pub we had has now been turned into a Nando's.

Dave,
The Torch. I went there prior to the 2013 final. It was rammed from noon onwards with just as many outside as in. Getting to the bar is a bit of a wrestle and expect to wait a while. To be fair, they will be geared up for it and they have loads of staff on.
The toilets are like a different planet. In 2013 it was 90% Hull fans with a genuine mix of other clubs. Of course, when it belted it down an hour or so before kick off, it became uncomfortable full. The doors are only small which creates a bottleneck.
