your point about cas and wakey is interesting - the sensible thing to do would be to share a stadium but the self interested minds at both clubs, not to mention the fans, means that will not happen, but in reality it should though there would be arguements over the location. out of town stadia don't work to well in RL - this has been a problem for salford. its no coincidence that the successful new stadia - ours, wigan and warrington are all situated towards the centres of their towns/cities

a private company was formed by the council and peel holdings who both funded the building of the stadium - i presume that these are also now the owners

Sadly I think that it is going to need a club to go under to hammer home the point that clubs need to live within their means.

Sidlow jumps ship over to the Bulls. I don't know what sort of team Salford are going to chuck out next season .. if they somehow survive all this.

interesting that bradford snap up sidlow from a team in trouble. when bradford were in trouble i believe other teams agreed not to sign their players until there finances were sorted

Different situation really.

Salford have allowed Sidlow to go, they wanted him off their books.

Bradford also went into administration at a key point in the season for OOC players. I think the decision SL made was a sensible one.

According to Smailes of the mail, Salford have told Leigh they cannot fulfill their friendly on December 30th.

Can you imagine the row about conflict of interest if the sport's Governing Body owned a club?

The RFL have got a world cup to pay for to next year.
