Away teams should automatically play in away shirts unless it clashes with the home strip of the club they play at, at least that way we all get a turn in laughing at Huddersfield.

Totally agree. I was amazed when the Bradford team walked out with their home kit on.

My hubbys stated the exact same thing!! Said they looked like an ooompah band

Hull offered bradford there away kit to play in but was refused, at one point they was going to call it off as hull also refused to change as they were playing in radders jerseys and bulls wanted them to change

How the heck does this ever happen.. Dont the clubs talk during the week leading up to the game..reminds me of the stupidity surrounding the game when they had to get Mavis from Halifax outta bed to sort a kit out last season. They should look at how the NHL do it.. Home kit is dark and all away kits are light.. They never clash !!!

If that's true then that's crazy! The away team shouldn't have a say in the matter if it's a colour clash!

The NBA have a simular system I think where as all home kits are white. Personally I cant see how hard is it to make all teams have both kits avaliable at all games, home or away. That way if there is a clash, the other kit is nearby to change into.

As it appears that you either don't have someone sending out kit directives to the clubs or the person that is doing it is clearly inept, I am kindly offering to help you in this obvious predicament you're having.
As a follower of Hull FC, it has been frustrating that for some reason the away team (or the person in charge of telling the away team) cannot understand that although their is black in our kit, it is majority white (white shorts, white socks with black hoops, greater amount of white in the shirt) and so we have seen incidents such ashttps://www.rlphotos.com/Hull/Hull20082/thumbnails/RadfordLee2-22-208dl.jpg" >

Since these 2008 incidents, Hull are reverted to a predominantly black kit (black trim on shirt instead of white and black shorts in 2009, black shirt with white chevron and black shorts in 2012, and black shirt with thin white hoops and black shorts in 2011), but we have returned to having a mainly white kit this year.
