| Wakefield as a whole is one of the worst, the playing surface is excellent and with the new stands going up this month it really will be a different place when you visit. Poor parking though at the ground.
Odsal is the worst for me always cold and gloomy and the pitch is like curled up sarnies!

Personally, I'd say New Craven Park.
Less than one and a half stands and miles from the pitch. As for re-development, they should just flatten it and build something like what Warrington have done.
I suggested this once on their Board and the natives got restless, asking me if I have ever been to Belle Vue. Well Yes, I have been to Wakefield and I stand any my view.
Thoughts?'"
while New Craven Park is not super dooper. It is their own not like yours of which you share.Wakey & Cas of which we will still be visiting are still the worst for me, ahem, now that Knowsley road has gone.It seems you have got nothing better to do than to troll, roll on the season then there might be some better discussion on your/this forum.I have been to both the Boulevard & the old HKR ground near the river now they where the pits but where accepted then. You where lucky HKR are not. Have a good day.

As the risk of the thread degenerating into the normal dickwaving contest,
1) FC were not "lucky", they accepted tennancy at the KC
2) HKR were not "not lucky" they were offered a tennancy and for (quite understandable reasons IMO) turned it down.

| Wakefield by a country mile. An absolute tip and a travesty that they are allowed to continue when clubs like Leigh have amazing facilities.

you and me both, I have to be honest, if Sky end up having another w@nkf35t over Tomkins then I'll not be watching it on TV either, the whole game is rapidly losing it's appeal, it's become incredibly boring as a sport.

Just to recap, in December 1999 when Hull Kingston Rovers were in administration, Hull City Council agreed to proceed with the acquisition of Hull KR’s property interest in Craven Park to allow Hull Kingston Rovers to trade.
In June 2000, the City Council granted a 250 year lease to the Gaingroup (now Kingston Community Developments Limited). A peppercorn annual rental is payable under those lease terms. The lease was also conditional upon KCD granting a sub lease to Hull KR in respect of the new Craven Park stadium.
So, in summary, the council own Craven Park, Rovers are beneficiaries of a peppercorn rental arrangement. And the council are taking now out a loan of £6m to fund the North Stand development. Of course, this latter project also requires ERDF funding of £2m+ to be signed off.

Just been watching Worcester v Gloucester ..... I'm still happy that our game is light-years in front entertainment wise.

Just to clarify, most of that £6m loan is not for Hull KR, but covers the contribution of other partners in the development. It will be Hull KR and the other partners that repay the loan.
For comparison, the council own the KC and Hull FC are beneficiaries of a rental arrangement that effectively loads all the business risk onto the stadium management company.
I genuinely forget - where did 'peppercorn rent', in the context of Craven Park originally come from? ie who said it - a councillor? Hudgell?

The other named party at this stage being Hull Training, who are part of Hull City Council.

Not sure why you're bringing FC into this - my response was to a direct question on the worst ground in the league that highlighted Craven Park's ownership arrangements. The risk point is a good one. The SMC bears the risk of managing the KC and its income streams, including FC's (£600k+ p.a.). In KR's case, the loan the council are taking out is underwritten by the council, so the council bears the risk.

Council documentation.
