| Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "Why? Our fans were an embarassment, I thought the gesture was very appropriate.'"
The Leeds fan didn't like what Sam did to them with his 2 fingers so why should the bulk of our fans get type of gesture
Plus he should get a match ban for going into a tackle on Whiting with his knees

Two or three bottles thrown at the Leeds players following the McGuire try.

Not acceptable from the fans whatsoever. However he is a paid professional and should be able to walk away from such things.

58058_1310484944.jpg Love my Rugby League.
The game will survive in North Wales. Too much work and effort has been put in, to let it go to waste. We have an appetite for this sport and we'll make it work.
You're likely to see me in a Crusaders shirt, in a Warrington game or a Catalans game.

| Brent Webb is one player I can't stand. Two, maybe three times, he went into the tackle today with his knees. Thaler didn't spot (no change there), so lets hope the RFL disciplinary panel do. Then, he made the gesture towards the FC fans. Yes, as a player, if you're getting objects thrown towards you, you're going to be angry, but as a professional, that is not the way to act. The RFL didn't punish Tomkins and if they fail to punish another acting in this way, it is simply a joke.
Although todays scenes may not have justified it, but Rugby League is known as a family sport. That is a good thing when branding a sport, so why are our governing body not punishing these players who are potentially affecting the image of it?
I hope Webb gets what he deserves.

| You can't compare it to tomkins. Nothing was thrown at tomkins and the fans aren't close enough for the pitch for anything said by one person to be tangible. Tomkins gesture was petulant and unprovoked.
I can't condone what webb did but bottle were thrown at the players, you can understand if not condone it.

Bad form from Webb but he had just had a bottle thrown at him, not comparable to Tomkins.

If webb has gestured to the fc fans then I suspect it will be the same punishment anything else will lead to an appeal, as a president has now been set

Sadly, you're right. The RFL should have used their authority when Tomkins did it at Wembley to say that they weren't letting players do this. Now Tomkins has escaped unpunished (actually, he has £1000 to be payed by the end of next season. Like thats going to effect him......), other players will probably do the same.

| Webb received a formal caution.
As much as he was provoked, this sends out the wrong message in my eyes.
