Kevin Brown is not international standard. He has been shown up for what he is , very average.

TBF thats more or less what i would have gone for with the squad hes taken. Although i would have like Widdop instead of Atkins.

If Widdop turned down the oppurtunity to play for his country because he didn't want to play centre he can f$$l off home

For me dropping Brown was a must, Griffin was uneffective and Widdop looked better away from full back.

Yup - best of a bad job really. Shame Widdop seems to have spat the dummy about playing centre because Atkins is clearly not up to the required standard.

Brown was totally out of he's depth and needed replacing . Lucky for Atkins that Shenton got injured or he'd be the one watching from the stands.

maybe he has just held his hand up and said he is not comfortable in that position, exp with it being the hardest on the the pitch to play defensivly

i don't think he's spat his dummy, if he's not comfortable playing there fair play to him for having the knackers to say so 40plus points to the aussies though

I agree with this, if Widdop is not comfortable playing in the Centre position he has done England a favour by saying this before the game.

Had he started there, and then it was clear he wasn't comfortable there, it could mean alot of reshuffling and maybe wasted interchanges, which would not have been ideal for England.

I suspect none of this will matter though as we will get bummed

Brown had to be dropped and Widdop does not deserve his place right now so I am pleased with that side.

And yet the Hudds fans are still on the VT saying he should play and the he is the best 6 in the squad
I would imagine they have a blind spot that perfectly fits around S Tomkins.

After the game today I thought what is the point in this tourney with a team in it that is struggling so making it sooooo 1 sided in each match?
