I suggest a few others email too......if theres any interest in this event taking place?'"
Youve got more chance of convincing the contractor than the council.
I went this morning and took sime pictures.

| Good luck 100% for it, but when FC Voices met the leader of the council the request the chance for fans to have a look was refused because the Councils insurers would not agree to any member of the public going on the ground, for helath and safety reasons, asbestos etc. Lets hope you have more luck! Went today and part of the pitch appears to have gone and all that is left is the Threepennies, they start on that on Monday apparently.

Its looking bleak then .......Ah well, see if there is any humanity at DJ Broadys office. I'm prepared to travel from Birmingham to take part if there is a delay in the demolition!!!
A sad time for our club

No NO No !!! Chewie you must not give up where there is life there is hope. We never went to Broady's, just to the Council perhaps they will see things differently, the problem is its the Council that own the land, and Broadies are putting massive fences aroun d the perimiter on the instructions of the Councils health and safety people to keep everyone out! Lets all do all we can! This hasn't just happened, its too big an opperation, it must have been planned for weeks, whilst the council strung the club and the NHS along!

| To be honest, I wouldn't want to go and see it in its current condition. I have great memories of the place that I will always treasure, and I don't want them sullied by seeing our spiritual home half demolished.

Pretty much how I see it. Looking at the demolition photos was enough of a downer.
I've not been there since the final game, I think I'd like to leave that as my farewell to The Boulevard.

| Thats just it......I said goobye at the final game with the Kiwis.......But then went back to see an Irregulars game against the Lost Loiners. Then we organised the second Flash Flanagan game there. That for me...and everyone else that attended on that day showed that the Boulevard was still indeed a great venue for sporting events. It all just seemed a bit of a phoenix moment. When we got the news that FC were going back there to train I know every Hull fan was feeling glad all over. Then we got the news of the Health service adding a chunk of cash just made us all feel like we had seen a much missed long lost friend walk un-announced into an already happy party !
THEN......MR LIB DEM RAISED HIS UGLY HEAD....and like a few other of this cities iconic buildings (i.e. LA's) we had been sold short. I really believe there has been (as Wilf has pointed out) some jiggery-pokery and a bit of skull-duggery in the dark and dingey offices of our councils hidden base. The Boulevards fate has been penned in for ages me thinks.
I'm just wondering how long that special piece of land will be left to be overgrown like Boothferry Park was, or should I say 'SLILL HAS BEEN'????? (Academy my ass!!!! )
If everything was above board and 'legal' then I cant see why FC Voices were denied the chance to let fans have one last look at the old place and sample the still 'magic atmosphere' it pocessed. There is no health and safety issues there....unless someone wants to get a veiw from the roof
I truly believe that there are ghosts there. At the Flash game I felt the hairs stand up on my arms and the back of my neck. A few times while running on the pitch with the water and taking pictures, I felt that there was more than a one-sided ground surrounding me, and I was not alone thinking this!
So....I did say goodbye, but then welcomed The Boulevard back into my life. I loved the place and now feel that we have been cheated by 'dodgy dealings and secret handshakes'. It all just seems to he happening far too quick for me, Its like the demolition is being rushed to stop minds being changed. I can see 'trouble ahead' over this !

| Agree think its a great idea and a fitting farewell to the Boulevard,i would also like to see the Threepenny Stand sign going to the KC placed somewhere above one of the stands where it belongs with the fans not stuck in a museum where they propose to put it.

| I've heard that DJ Broadys are saving the seats etc from the stands in the hope of having some kind of charity auction in the future. Not confirmed though.

FC Voices have an agreement with the council that anything that is salvageable as memeorabillia will be stored for the fans we await the Councils decision as to how we access it though! I'll contact them and ask!

It is going into the Street life Museum with a section of terracing and a crush barrier as a memorial of the Stadium as part of our heritage.

| Was there today, took some pics, and didnt realise how much that place means to me. Was stood there thinking about all ive seen there. A lump appeared in my throat.
Have kind of moved on and not really thought too much till today. The KC will never have a soul, and will never be a patch on the Boulevard, yes its better and we move on but that old girl was pooring out in history and memories.
Would have loved just one more game there, just one, packed Threepenny, the well full, the ends swapping at h/t, the portakabin shop, the tiny ticket office.
Just one more time
Never forget
