Hull used to have one of the best nights out in the North , pubs everywhere, club queues round the block and it seemed that all that was left was the old town which hasnt changed at all.....
we wrapped it in and drove out to the Wildfowler and had a lock in at Manor club... suffered monday !! |

I know this is going to sound cheesy and I apologise for it in advance but if there are no clubs how do the younger ones meet partners and do the old boy meets girl stuff in Hull any more if there are no dark dancefloors to hide the obvious flaws & facial issues any more???
I bet 99% of Hull over 30 years old met at R&Js , Bali Hi or Las..

R&Js was a good old fashioned club with good tunes , decent DJs , doormen and barstaff , cattlemarket dancefloor and trendy side in Juliets .. not expensive and a good night all round ...was even better when it was Baileys

Thats what the internet's for mate 
I agree with you though mate, it's certainly not how it used to be. Lived and died in R&Js, LAs, and even Tower, used to have great fun in there trying to win dog of the night! We always used to let a mate of ours win it although he was never gunna get more than that anyway  |

seemd a bit of a tired ghost town to me on Sunday'" It's not cheesy, I know where you're coming from!!! A lot of the pubs in old town have the lowered lighting and I bet there's gangs of girls and lads that follow each other all night until they end up snogging in a dark corner of King Billy's!!!
Sunday used to be a cracking night out on a Sunday but started to go down the pan years ago. Can't remember the last time I went out on a Sunday and without showing my age I prefer to plant my bum in Admiral, grab some food, watch the rugby and drink the night away with good friends and cheap wine and beer!!!  |

memories huh, the lad who took over from Chuzzer was the best I had seen in Juliets since Paul Dakeyne left , never saw the lad you mean but like I say the lad who took over after Chuz was a good DJ, cracking mixer too , I recall he used to float between the two rooms doing a bit in each ...
especially the Sole music ?? I always liked the soul myself maybe thats a hull fishing song I never heard PMSL only kiddin sorry
