| Quote weaver93="weaver93"IF Briscoe has no intention of signing a contract extension, why not offer him to Wests in exchange for Miller now?
or pay a fee to Wests.
If not, we need to resign Goldie, IMO , he was more creative than Seymour last season.'"
How about this for an idea, why dont hull let seymour know he isn't wanted,go to aussie to sign prince or miller, but let it be known miller isnt 1st choice, spend a week and a half being messed around by prince and his agent,in the meantime miller decides to stay at wests and the slug and gentle come back with a nice tan.
No,what a stupid idea !!

| Disappointing re Prince as I thought on balance he would sign. Seems like the UK was never an option for him in reality so better him not come at all than clear off early I suppose. As Pearson said on the radio if neither target (Prince/Miller) came off the club would continue its search for quality. Let's hope it does.

Don't doubt AP will contiue looking for a quality 7 but not expecting any rabbits being pulled out of hats now (Hope I'm wrong). Before we were linked with Prince we were looking to retain either or both of McGoldrick & Aspinwall. I think we will now keep Goldie for cover in the halves and if we want Aspinwall then we have until tomorrow to sort something otherwise his SL clause on his Leigh contract expires. Whatever we do with these two will reduce the amount we have left on the cap.
Expect us now to run with Seymore / McGoldrick at 7 for 2013.

| Some of the fans on here and on twitter seriously need to get a grip. Saying Hull FC and AP have let them down by saying they are signing prince and then it falling through. It's your own faults for getting your daft hopes up. Believe nothing until its on paper and confirmed by the club. I would have welcomed the signing but I didn't get a rock on during negotiations because anything can happen. As for the mods letting a 27 page thread going about rumours/speculation/negotiations, does this mean we can sack the rumour topic off and talk about individual players?

| quality 7's are at an absolute premium at the minute, especially over here....to have a club like the broncos going back for a player they ditched nearly 10 years ago really shows how bad things are....
prince, i dare say, will be earning a small fortuna at the bronco's, and having been paid out for his final year at the titans he would be mad to play for another 3 years in the uk.... i honestly beleive the guy has 2 years left in him, max.... and thats living a lifestyle that he leads now, ie: sun, surf, good food etc etc, and in a happy environment, his desire would be seroiusly tested if he was to come to the uk.... lets be fair, if seymour was A. any good and B. a model pro, then he wouldnt be in the uk, simple as...
the days of aussies coming to these shores for a final payday are over, the situation with berrigan was fuelled by money and the loophole system being slammed shut by the uk tax man meant his depature earlier than expected.......
prince would have been a good siging, but weve seem it all before, slightly past his best but commanding top whack $$..... miller would have been a top siging, ala best...young, and hungry to succed, not a guaranteed nrl starter at the mo, but 2/3 stand out years in the uk and with marshall getting on, it would have seen him fill the 7 shirt in afew years back at the tigers

| I'm guessing we were offering Prince more than Miller. Does that mean we will go back to Miller with an offer he can't refuse?

| Quote paintman="paintman"Adam Pearson in the HDM in July
"The one thing I can assure supporters for next season is we will be bringing in quality half-backs. The six and seven positions are crucial and they need addressing".
Those words are starting to look hollow now.
Looks like another season of Seymour'"
The evidence suggests it's not for the want of trying

| If chase and prince had been spoken to but fans not been aware then it wouldn't have been an issue. pearson must be very frustrated with the situation but you can't knock him for his efforts

Would you wanna come of you was Miller? Feels like he is second best and with NRL clubs rumoured to be interested? Holdsworth and Seymour next season it looks like. Seymour isn't bad as people make out. Will be a hell of a lot better with Holdsworth. The amount of pressure on Seymour last season was huge and it didn't help playing on the halves with players that aren't natural half backs. I really hope Seymour has decent game time and performs well and proves a lot of people wrong.
