I've always thought that Obst looked decent whenever I've watched us playing Wakey.

A club of our size should be seriously challenging every year. I was pleased with the improvements we made last year, however I fear this season without that "bit of luck" we will be going back again and then its going to be another big turnover of players in 2012.

I expect the highest of things from our club, but I am confident with the team we have and a clean bill of health we can challenge the top 4 and have a good run in the cup. We improved last season and all been well we'll do the same again this season, if not better. I agree that we're still in need of sound cover for halves/hooker, but I'm still hopeful we will make a signing before the season is here. We have some great young talent along with experienced heads in the team, a strong pack but granted we could do with some more depth in the backs. Only one way to find out mate, and I for one can't wait for the season to start!

if wakey go into administration, players contracts are still valid, until their pay stops.if the players, fail to receive their monthly salaries, then i think they are entitled to and free to sign for another club.(i am basing this on a mate who use to play football for Dundee fc,who went into admin, and then subsequently failed to pay the players, and he moved on for free)

cheers, usually the backroom staff get the boot first, then they try to get the best deal for their players to pay creditors

I've been told that the players have been assured that they are ok pay wise for the rest of the year.

Agree with most mate, however I just wonder how we will cope when we get injuries, which are part and parcel of the modern game and not a valid excuse for failure. That why rugby is a squad game and squad is not strong enough. We have a very strong 17 and im sure we will challenge anyone when all players are fit, but a couple of injuries and then were screwed. Its not ideal bring the young lads into a team ravaged with injuries. They need to be introduced when the time is right. I think this year we will be a solid top 8 team and with the luck of the draw have a deacent cup run, which for some is fine, but as Westerman said on radio yesterday " a club like Hull should be winning a trophy every year", and I agree or at least making the semi finals in each comp.

I think we will be a far better team then top 8, top 6 at least, pushing for top 4 IMO. Hopefully with another signing in, and Turner, Lyne, Dowes, Nicko and the other young lads it will be enough. I'm hopeful of a better year then a lot of people think.

Since their salaries will add up to more than the amount owing to HMRC that apparently can't be paid, I'm not sure how any such promise could be honoured. Or believed.

Just read the sky sports article on Wakey and it seems they really are in the baba being down on forwards and cash generated.
Not the half we need but Blaymire and Murphy would look good in the black and white.

Think I would rather have Blaymire than Murphy.
