When we had Agar/KH running the show I prayed for an owner that would show ambition and a coach who would be willing to revamp the squad and make tough decisions. In AP and PG we have got exactly that we have made so many strides forwards it's unbelievable. The lack of a top 7 is disappointing but they will get the right man eventually. If fans can't see that and want to continually moan then quite frankly i'm not interested in their opinion.

You must knock about with some real doom n gloom merchants then. I've not heard one person say they're 'disappointed ' with recruitment, most like myself are disappointed we missed chase n prince. We have brought in a number of young players to go with our own that came through who can now be labelled as real 1st team players. Brought in some real experience and guile. As useful off field as on. Brought in one of the best 6s in the competition. Most of our competition have been static in the transfer market or weakened. No one has been as active as us, our investment off field is without compare taking us up to the standards we need to be at. We played an attractive brand last yr with an openly spoke about desire to play even more so. Anyone who still doesn't think it's worth watching or backing our club after that, especially after the previous administration isn't much use to a club and shouldn't be called a fan!

What many people who I have spoken to are fed up of is paying McRae a wage when he does nothing for the club, all he has done is harm, lost us players and given AP poor advice, and flannel to the press, expect more of it tonight at the "fans forum"

If Mcrea was of no use then I don't think he'd be there. Best I know of it he hasn't lost us anyone. Probably one of the main reasons we got holdsworth. Prince chase couldn't do much else only peaa we genuinely missed out on. If a club is pro active in improvement across the board and playing a good brand of play then after yrs of support why would they stop now!? Can't come quick enough for me. God damn long off season!!!

If they've been pass holders for 30+ years they've seen worse teams than the one we'll be putting out next year.


I agree that McRae's role is diminishing, but he managed to get us Gentle at the very least, the knock on effect of that is Gentle was instrumental in recruiting Ellis. The only notable losses are Moa & Manu, Moa wanted to return home and Manu felt that at 32 he wanted a fresh challenge, don't believe anyone that tells you it was McRae's fault, they're lying.
The only thing Pearson can be found guilty of is underestimating player loyalty (what there is) and other factors in RL as opposed to football. Recruitment is far more difficult in RL and Pearson will have learnt that his words mid-season were probably too honest and open, but that's hardly a crime, is it?


I for one am looking forward to next season, a very strong first 17 and genuine depth to the squad. Of course it would have been nice to have gotten a genuine 7 like Prince etc. but where's the fun in winning everything quickly?
