| Don't think we looked underdone, we looked the fitter side second half until another brain fart from a high kick, led directly to their clinching try.
The skill set was the difference, they moved the ball far better than us and sliced us open a few times in the first half. I don't remember a clean break by us in 80 minutes!
Negatives - We can't deal with high kicks, 3 times 2nd half we either let the ball bounce or lost it in the mid air duel. Talanoa didnt even get off the ground for the 1st one.
Right hand side attack is all at sea. Carlos looks lost there, fonua will never just come inside and take a tackle. how mnay times again did he go into touch or lose the ball. Big questions for Radders there, I'd stick with michaels on the wing and leave fonua at centre. but he has the option of connor too. Carlos - I don't know what he is.
Positives - Masonga was great, looks the real deal. Hugely impressed with him and think he'll oust one of Bowden or Green if they don't really step up consistently.
Sneyd looked really sharp, was running the ball more and put in a couple of beautiful little kicks, especially the drop out to get the ball back. Trouble was, he seemed one step ahead of most of his team mates!
Thought Washy made a big difference 2nd half.

| I hope I'm wrong but I think Pritchard leaving could come back to haunt us - from a culture P.O.V if nothing else. He was obviously a huge character in the dressing room and team chemistry/morale is a fragile thing.
Let's see, hopefully it's all an overreaction and we come out of the blocks firing against Wakefield. We'll only know for sure in October.

I have thought that too . Frank was a massive character at the Club .
Has his departure left a sour taste with some of his team mates ?
His leaving was very low key , lets hope the Club handled it correctly.

| We seem to be going into the season making sure we're fresh for the play offs but if we amble into the early season games we'll not likely be in the play offs anyway. Looking at the fixtures we need to pick up points from some very winnable games at the start of the season

up until the wigan home game, they all look games we can collect points from
didnt go yesterday due to work commitments but it sounded we got caned from penalties too, something we need to eradicate
just hope the players aren't riding on last season thinking it will be the same!

| It's amazing how much over analysis is happening after a few pre season games, as I've said we had a impressive pre season last year and very good first two games and then 3 disappointing results.
Think some are going a over top, let's wait and see how we get on against Wakey and maybe trust Radford.
Last year the first team only really played one game, against Rovers, so there has been little difference this year, in terms of player preparation, results haven't been great, but I think we will be fine.

| I said a couple of weeks ago that we will miss big Frank on and off the pitch but we have to accept that we wouldnt have been able to sign Kelly without Frank leaving.Frank leaving has left us short of a Super League quality Front Row.
I dont think the defeat at Salford had anything to do with team morale it was more to do with lack of discipline.
Manu alone gave away 5 or 6 penalties in the first half and as Radford said we seemed to treat possession like we were still training in Portugal with no consequence for losing the ball and having to defend.
I think we will see the players Radford was not too pleased with get a run out at Doncaster together with Ellis,Green and Bowden who should all be fir enough to play part of the game.

| Salfraud fan in peace! Thought u boys looked off yesterday and struggled in all areas. We seemed to get in front of your pack which was never possible last year. Thought sneyd played well but just generally thought we were the better team. Really happy with how our preseason and how it's gone, bar the injuries. I have a big affinity with u guys now after beating those Robin s who sang at us with 15 mins to go last season.
Am sure u will grow more and think uve recruited really well, just think Griffin's been bagged up too much. He attacks really well but defends like a winger, think ur half backs will click and be special.
Great turnout BTW and good luck for the season ahead
