I think you've misread the whole thread if you think people like me are saying those who reserve their seats are in the wrong, I think you'll find it's quite the opposite if you read back. Great lines like - 'Poor darlings' and 'they thought they had the right' not forgetting them being called scroungers. I think it's pretty clear where the mud slinging is coming from.

Then perhaps you should make that clear. Because the way it reads at the moment is that you objected to a reasonable request to vacate a reserved seat.

My "precious" seat is a necessity for me. I sit at the end of a row which I need to for my disability. Why should I have to sit somewhere in the West Stand where I don't want to be just because I need a particular seat every match?

Is obviously wrong for someone to try it on by sitting in someone else's reserved seat.

However it also seems to be the case that some people have been innocently sitting in reserved seats due to inadequate signage in which case the seat holder should politely ask them to move rather than get outraged.

If someone sits in a reserved seat near you and you know the seat holder is not attending the match, is it really any of your business?

The East stand should be fully unreserved to help create a better atmosphere, if that means you and others like you have to move to get the facilities they need then so be it. Alternatively you could just get there early enough to get the seat you want.

Yes I can, the only atmosphere in the East stand comes from the North and South unreserved areas of it, making it unreserved would allow for a larger congregation. It's not difficult.

Not really, I sit in the South stand where it's not an issue. Forgive me for suggesting an idea to liven up the atmosphere in a dull stadium and having a problem with people calling others who accidentally sit in their reserved seats "scrounges".
