| Decent effort bearing in mind the relative positions of the teams. Effort has been there for the most part all season we need to win these close games more often - that's hopefully what Sneyd and Pryce can bring to the team.

I hope you are proven to be right, I still think we need someone who can finish, but maybe recent signings can fill that role.

Why would it be announced?
A certain club made an enquiry and was told he was not for sale. These things happen all the time. Hardly worthy of an announcement.
I think you underestimate the paucity of talent in SL, particularly young English talent.

We have players who can finish. We're just poor at creating chances for them. Hopefully that's what Sneyd and Pryce will bring to the party.

| Frustrating to lose a handy lead but there's no disgrace in defeat. Huddersfield are a very good team with a very good home record.

| Really good effort today, the most pleasing point being our improved attacking structure and promotion of the ball. Defence continued generally in the same vein as last week, but clearly against a much more physical and better side.
What killed us ultimately was conceding a soft penalty for one of their tries, and Shaul I think fluffing a bomb (think Radford said he's been poked in the eye and couldn't see). Their barge over was disappointing though.
Harry Tyson Wilson looks a very special talent. Physically he's not ready to defend at this level - got a lot of development to do - got swatted off his first tackle and trampled on for the second - but ball in hand his passing, vision and willingness to shout the odds looks exceptional for a 17 year old.
Some right brainfarts though. Rankin (who was very good, especially for his try, foot on the gas) chucked a daft ball out they scored off, and Yeaman's kick at the end was reminiscent of Thorman.
Overall, good effort and some better signs to say we had a lot of cap not on display. Ultimately the story of the season as Kosh says and is totally reflected in our points difference.
On Humberside, my mum said the commentator made Gary Neville look like Elf, or words to that effect. No change in intonation when FC scored, apparently. Fast becoming a shambles.

Blunderside were shocking, no genuine passion, just totally inept.

Listened to the first 5 minutes of post match in the car at Hudds. Opened with "here's an interview with Josh Hodgson who swept the board at Rovers awards dinner". Sod off.

Shaul collected a kick and on running the ball out was hit by three Huddersfield players and dropped the ball in the tackle

| Well it was hard to tell from Humberside's abysmal commentary, but it seemed to be a reasonably promising performance. Their back to back tries both from us having the ball killed us, I think had we been able to shut up shop during that period we would have gone on to win.
Even Nick Pinkney commented on how good HTW looked with the ball. It's great that he was barking orders and pushing players around the field. He will have to bulk up and improve his defence but that is not so important at this stage. I hope Horne gets to pull on the black and white one more time next week but equally I would like to see Harry on the bench again and another cameo next week.
