Ah right that explains some people saying we've ditched Biggs for another union player last night. Rumour last night was another southseas player who's played both codes but currently playing union.

I thought we're up to the limit with the quota personally but not sure or that interested how it works these days.

Well at least the Biggs rumour has now been confirmed. Will be interesting to see who this "high profile" player is. Given our track record I am quite doubtful on this. Either it won't come off or it won't be what we consiser high profile.

Can someone please remind me of this in a few weeks time if I am wrong? I will gladly eat humble pie .

Good luck with him if thats who your looking at, sounds a good player but a complete tool too. Hull as a city has never been a place to rehabilitate bad boys, too many temptations and provocations.

Theres a rumour going around that its Blake Ferguson but I doubt he'd get a visa and I thought he'd become a professional boxer anyway

Just as a heads up, anyone who fits this description is ineligible for the "new talent pool" exemption and would thus count on the cap. (So ultimately not a replacement for Biggs who wouldn't count on the cap.)

Given Redford announced to the world in the off season you were spending up to the full cap, and have subsequently brought in two further players (one of which won't be cheap) I'm not sure how it would work ...

I'm not accusing hull of anything so I'm not sure why your defensive about it - I'm sure there are plenty more aware of hulls SC situation than myself - but Biggs would be worth 0 on the cap (for his first cap year at least) and a player who fit the above description wouldn't. Caps aren't infinite so either your still not spending up to the cap now (which was claimed before you were supposedly signing that Fijian prop - don't ask me to spell his name!) - or someone will have to go to allow said south sea duel code player to come in. That would seem the base logic to the rumour that's being suggested...
