1. Money
2. Potential to win trophies
3. Coach
4. Area

We don't offer good money, we are currently a bottom 3 team, we now have an unproven/unknown (overseas recruitment) coach, and the place is commonly considered a craphole. Tell me how you'd convince a player to choose us with those restrictions in place.

Bit of a gamble appointing Agar. It's one thing motivating players for one week, another to do it on a regular basis and at this level. If I was a Hull fan this morning I would not be happy with this appointment and it reminds me very much of when Saints dumped McClennan and went for Eric Hughes instead of the top class Australian that we knew we needed to compete. Hughes won nothing and we replaced him with a highly rated Australian assistant coach and won the double.
