I didn't miss your point - I ignored it. You see, our new owner has been making the very same point pretty much since the day he took over and has spent money on developing just such a youth system as you describe. It won't be done in a day, or a season, or maybe a few seasons - but it will be done.

And if you seriously think that we've built a good base every year for the last few years then you really haven't been paying attention.

I do indeed think you have had a good base of players, the one thing that was missing was a good coach, you have had some wonderful players over the last 6-7 years.

I just don't see the point of blind optimism from some sections of your supporters when it is obvious that you are behind about 60% of SL clubs in the youth policy stakes (as are Rovers).
