If Sezer's off, could we be making a move for Jackson Hastings with the rumours he could be on his way back to Super League?

Just listened and for anyone who hasn't Eddie sounded very sure when he says "Sezer won't be joining the Black & Whites now, wonder where he'll end up" then Stevo pipes up "well he's injured at the moment"

Take it all with a pinch of salt, I'll believe it when its announced officially but usually if news comes out of left field like that it tends to have some truth in it. Personally I hope its true and Sezer won't be a Hull FC player as just don't think he is the right fit/player we need in the halves.

"IF" true could mean a couple of things. Potentially another half back available who we would prefer to go for.
Or maybe another position, likely a centre, has been made available who we are now after. However that would likely mean we'd have to run with Cust in the halves alongside Abdul.

I still think either way we are going to end up weak in the halves or at centre. Quite possibly still weak at both.

I would have thought Hastings would want marquee wages and our places are taken if I'm correct.

Not sure if you still can but contracts could be back loaded for example he could say earn 150k for 2 years then 300k for his 3rd year or something similar.

I would have thought this story would have leaked before been broadcast on those two's podcast .
They don't seem the type of people to be "in the know"

Yep, full wages have to be on the cap, unless you took either Raoana or Asista off and put him on, but you have to have one non fed marquee player.

Hastings is on 400k at Newcastle, so for the first year, I'd expect Newcastle to contribute to his salary.

Hull is miles cheaper than living in Newcastle, so I'd expect he would take a pay cut for a multi year deal.
