I don't see why Thirkhill would want just a minority stake in Hull. Also if it was just an investment I doubt it would take this long to happen.

Also if people are ‘hearing from reliable sources’ in Hull that it’s a takeover that’s enough alone to suggest it isn’t. "IF" true could mean a couple of things. Potentially another half back available who we would prefer to go for.
Or maybe another position, likely a centre, has been made available who we are now after. However that would likely mean we'd have to run with Cust in the halves alongside Abdul.

I still think either way we are going to end up weak in the halves or at centre. Quite possibly still weak at both.
