Really? But you're normally so positive about the BOD.

| Not sure about Anasta being the answer personally. I think there's good reason he has been moved into the pack often in his career; he's better there and there are better half-backs around. Whilst I can see a little similarity to Barrett as someone mentioned, I don't really think he's in the same class as a half-back, and we don't need to bolster the back row further. He'd most likely just prevent Westerman getting into the team, which wouldn't really make sense.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

That's what makes me chuckle, they've spent 3 weeks in junior training and didn't start together in the main test but I'm been told about their 'partnership'.

He's 29 in jan and it doesn't look like the roosters will be offering him a new deal past 2011. He'll be chasing his last big pay packet.

If were thinking cheap why sign Westerman?
The board may not be pleased with his value for money and may have found a way to get him to move on, some would say that's good business.

Yeah, another warning sign. Although Anasta's the better player, I think we'd be better off focussing on Westerman for the same positions now, and not tying up a non-fed spot on another loose forward cum stand off which may impact on our 2012 recruitment options.

| Anasta is one of those players that divides opinion, I really like him but would be a similar situation to Berrigan, class act and would be a massive earner and we wouldn't see the best of him, if played at stand off alongside a halfback with a really good kicking game and was an out and out playmaker, he would bring a real touch of class to SL, similar to what Greg Bird and Trent Barrett brought, although Barrett was more of a complete player, he would have to do everything at Hull though, Berro all over again I'm my opinion.

Difficult for everyone I'd have said. Poor exchange rate against the aus$, compounded by the overseas restrictions finally starting to bite and a real lack of quality players coming through at most clubs means that there are average players earning big bucks because they're the only option. Our poor record in bringing players through to the 1st team since mcrae left is now causing us problems

Good thing our youth system regularly supplies so many players for the first team then, oh wait...

It's certainly getting harder with the exchange rate.
I would put wigans success down to the storm breach and the players knowing maguire so well.

Either way it's worrying, looking at the recent England team against the Aussie schoolboys the majority of the team is made up of players from Wigan and Wire, both of whom are still investing heavily in established players, we are so far behind these two clubs it's unreal.
Relying on youth would be ideal if we had the potential, I'm not sure we have, the crop of youngsters at the club is nowhere the standard of 2005, which still didn't bear any major fruit, and our problems developing top class talents such as Tommy Lee, Craig Hall and Danny Washbrook into first teamers I'm not optimstic for the future.

Yes I am. I realise this causes offence as Andy Last is apparently so well liked but you could save yourself some embarrassment by reeling off the lengthy list of players that the academy has produced that have become first team regulars since he's been in charge?
