| We do need to reduce the number of derbies, but when we do get the balance right, derbies between Hull and Hull KR draw big crowds and can be great entertainment. Further, Hull KR going down is not good for the city of Hull.
So as much as I'd probably enjoy the week or so winding them up, no, I don't want them to go down.

| Surprised a Mod has been around to notice it. About time some regular posters did it instead, to keep on top of everything.

Not bothered what happens to Rovers either way. Don't get all the 'its not good for Hull FC, RL or the City if they go down' talk.
Will it really matter that much to us as a club financially? Probably not in the grand scheme of things re advertising and sponsorship plus hopefully the increase in regular match day attendances after the season we have had this year.
The only issue I could see is the affect it would have on the Joint Academy set up.

Hopefully in a positive way in that we bin off the dobbins. I must be another off tinkerbell's word that can't be used because for me the dobbins and their grubby, ambulance chasing chairman can't sink low enough and they would be missed only in the sense that an unpleasant infection is.

| We've had enough Derby games in the last three seasons to last us for the next six at least. They've become undervalued and boring as reflected in the attendances for them. One build up is the same as the next is the same as the next. So if our neighbours do happen to step over the cliff then not to worry.

This - I've removed all references so as requested by others, can we just stop? Thanks.

| Now I don't really want the RS to go down, but I think I could live with it OK.
I might miss the Derby games a tad, especially if we only had only 2 meetings a season. But we don't, we have 4, and that's ruined the whole thing.
Lest we forget, there was a time we needed our neighbours to vote in favour of our very existence, it could have been life or death for us.
.....and they looked the other way. Bad Show
So what go's around comes around I say, and anyway, should the worst happen for our dear neighbours,
can you imagine the fun ? I love a good Turkey Shoot.
Give 'em 6 years or so and they'll be back, whooping and crowing, like they've just "walked out of the shower".

I wouldn't put that down as altruistic by any stretch. However, the historical context is important. SL had broken away as a separate entity, taking the money and running, as it were. It really wasn't reasonable to then ask the Northern Ford Premiership to pick up SL's broken clubs for the 'good of the RL family'. Sheffield were initially denied a placed in the 2000 NFP, until Bramley dropped out, iirc, so it was wider than just a Rovers-Hull spat.
In addition, it isn't like Hull FC chairman Tim Wilby hadn't recently been out to euthanize Rovers in their hour of need.
Hull fans don't like Rovers - that is as it should be. But the retcon moralizing and lessons in humility on offer here recently, while unintentionally hilarious, suggests something of a self awareness deficit. Which you'd never get from Rovers fans - no siree.

| Every single Rovers fan would be absolutely p155ing themselves if we was in their position and would all probably buy Salford shirts and cheer them on. They would revel in it for years (they have history of this of course) and would be dancing in the streets if we got relegated.
Me on the other hand would chuckle if the dreaded happened and they went down but id soon forget about it - for me Leeds are the team who are our greatest rivals and the ones im more bothered about
