| What does it matter? If he develops his game at Rovers and becomes a top half-back then he will get offers from top teams to move to them at the end of this contract. If he leaves with our blessing then that could be us. Better than keeping him here frustrated.

| Rovers never keep their players anyway when there's money to be made. Thanks for Tag and Watts though.

I have no idea what they're being paid, but if he's been offered more by Rovers, then good luck to him.
As has been said, we can'tkeep them all.'"
Except on this occasion we've asked the kid to take a pay cut. I'd agree if we hadn't already been paying him more but we have and offering him less must feel like a kick in the balls. Personally, I think he has a good chance of making the grade and would have been worth having around

| Nobody knows what's gone on as far as contracts go apart from those involved. Clearly as others have said we can't keep them all. Am sure if we had kept him.and let another go there would be some in uproar over them.

Once again we have McRae to thank for this, he gave Dean and HTW silly contracts, twice as much as the likes of Fash, Abdul etc, this is why Dean is leaving and HTW hasn't signed yet. He hasn't even played first team yet and he got his current deal it could have caused big unrest with the other young players. As it stands it's the right decision.

Are you really judging him on one game when playing in well beaten side?
Was good last year whilst playing SL, I'd rather judge him on that and the fact the Fev fans say he has been very good for them so far this year.

If you were expecting an answer, then you could be waiting another 6 years.

On that note I think I will leave it another 6 years to post, because nobody knows ( unless Dave did these boys contracts) that McRae gave these boys "silly money" I like facts not fiction!!!

How can any player be put on a silly contract not even played at the top level? Some fans know nothing about the game if they think this should be justified!

I don't know what amount we're talking about, all I'm saying is, if there is now a wage stucture in place it has to be adhered to.
If he really wanted to play for us, then he would've seen the bigger picture, and taken the short term pain, for the long term gain.
From what I've seen, he is clearly a good prospect, but at the moment he is too far down the pecking order to be made any kind of special offer.
