Regardless of the why, Manu doesn't "owe" us anything. We employed him to do a job which he has done very well and very professionally. He hasn't done anything wrong and actually gave us his best years. I'm gutted to see him leave but regardless of the reasons he has my best wishes and thanks for his efforts during his time here.

You're certainly right that he doesn't "owe" us anything. He's been a stand-out player for us for many seasons but a little honesty would have been nice. The old "family reasons" bull$hit is not what expected from him.
