TBH I take sports stats with a VERY large pinch of salt. The mechanism for their collection and compilation is far from clear, and many of them are based on subjective judgements. IMO they are of very limited use.

For me it's making breaks, supporting play help orgaisise the team and put some good kicks in.

The last couple of games he hasnt done any of this.

But Thorman has been getting all the stick.

It's not an inaccurate statement. Pointing at some contextless numbers doesn't change this.



They use them, but do so with much more thought than a quick scan of a couple of meaningless numbers. At least, I hope they do. To do otherwise would be extremely foolish and naive.

OK then - what constitutes a missed tackle for statistical purposes?

How many of the tackles listed for each player is when he's third man in?

What constitutes a clean break?

Who collects the stats? How many of them are there? Do they do it live or from video footage? What's their RL background? How familiar are they with the game and rules?

No statistician worth his salt would use data with so many unknowns.

Why do they players take no blame whatsoever? I agree with you most of the time but I can't understand your thinking that everything that goes wrong is down to Agar. Someone misses a tackle, drops a ball, looks lazy and uninterested and it's all Agar's fault.

For me its 50/50 between the coaches and the players.

Just watched the highlights. Horne is instrumental in two of our tries, taking the ball to the line and passing superbly to put players through gaps.

Seems like halfback play to me.

Performed pretty much as expected really, he has shown a lot of quality in some games especially with his short kicking game, he isnt enough of a playmaker or have the character or the long range kicking game to play as a 7 week in and week out in SL.
