I dont think anyone can dispute the credentials of Rapana but he is a winger and until his injury was playing full back.
That signing to me doesnt make sense particularly if its marquee when we are crying out for a quality centre
Why dont this club just identify the player position we need and go all out to fill it?
I doubt this is what has forced Walker out but even without Walker we have Hardaker,Litten and Moy and have to say full back is still Hardakers best position.
I know we have been knocked back by several overseas players including Sailor but these two latest signings even though they are experienced NRL starters smacks a little of desperation rather than we have signed the players we really want

We'll have to trust Myler's judgement on Hardaker like of course all his signings so let's hope he doesn't make a fool of him. I'm still not convinced.

I was hoping and expecting a dynamic running half to compliment Abdull but when Sezer was announced I was more than disappointed.

Sezer isn't a deity like Rapana is with the Canberra fans but I was surprised and encouraged when I read the West Tigers supporters comments on facebook.

Both Rapana and Sezer bring the character which is exactly what need but I'm not so sure they are the right fit.

Hardaker has only missed one game this season and he played 27/32 in 2023.

Agree with all of that. I'm not convinced.The one consolation I'm taking at the moment is that most of the players signed are an improvement on this year's. A very very low bar though.

The one thing I'm hoping will make a difference is actually having a fully resourced coaching and conditioning team.

Luis Roberts? Not sure if he's got another club but could be an option for centre.

Apparently Carlos is off to Doncaster RFU and his quota spot has already been filled, where up to quota with the signings of Rapana and Sezer.

His agent was full of it in that article said he’s got at least 2 years left and in the top 5 to 10 imports. Can play centre, wing and stand off. He’s finished, looks good in parts but I’m surprised when he finishes a full 80.

The same agent said that 29 year old Ryan Hampshire has 10 good years left, the man is mad.

Its clearly a strategy that relies on a good number of the younger players making the grade in S/L in the next two years.
The problem is if they dont and its very unlikely we will have five or six of our younger players taking the field together as regular S/L players then the longer term contracts of the ageing players brought in will come back and bite us by restricting what we can do in the recruitment market in 2026.
The likelihood is that we could be looking at a similar large player movement in and out once again for 2027 instead of simply adding the two or three quality players per season in positions we need like most clubs do or Myler will end up trying to trade or pay off some of the average Joes he has brought in so we can add more quality for 2026
