For me, the crux of the problem is that no money needs to be charged to put pictures up. To us, or City. There are better ways to raise revenue, if that is what this is about.

Does anybody know if the SMC have just added the cost into the contract or has it been there a long time but both teams have not been contributing.

If they have just added it in it is a ridiculous situation where you have to ay to put up some pictures on a council built stadium that the taxpayers of hull built.

If it has always been there then the Allams should of changed the agreement and not charged at all . Interestingly AP was running the SMC at the time so who's bright idea in the first place came up with this money making scheme.

Hull City Council have put out a press release in support of the fans of Hull FC today, should hit the papers tomorrow, we've been talking to them today, and reminding them that there is a re-negotiation clause in 2017, until that time there is nothing in the contract that allows for intervention,but as a result of the talks we are cautiously optimistic

that it will be service as usual this week.

I know it's a secondary thing, but having been to many stadiums around this great isle of ours I recall many a suite / stand named after sporting / local heroes. The last I noticed was at Wembley stadium where they have a Martin Offiah bar which is covered in pictures commemorating his great try in 94. How much does the RFL pay for that. There must be a going commercial rate for this. Wembley surely don't do it simply for the hell of it. Or do they. A stadium worth 3/4 billion quid must be charging.



Moving on. Unless AP has totally miss judged the feeling of us Hull fans on this issue and allowed Allam to do this then it is absolutely the right time to start taking direct action. This has been building since the reception area was covered in a Tiger. Wilf brought it up this time last year and slowly we have been eroded. We should to a man and woman stop purchasing anything from the stadium unless Hull FC are responsible for it. We should also encourage away fans to do the same. After all they will want to save what they have paid for the expensive seats they sit in.

The good doctor only knows one thing and that's cash. If he is losing then he will have to change. PR wise this will hurt City and potential sponsorship for them. Hull is a tight community and the business community will not want to be associated with a man who shows so little regard for that community.

it is a shared stadium and there should be equal amounts of pictures for both clubs.

That's potentially great news, however I will never feel completely happy until we have an independent owner of the SMC.

Spot on Paul. Duffin stopped international rugby which I feel has contributed to the lack of decent World Cup games at the stadium, and now this with Allam.

It has to be independent OR we need it to have a board which represents all parties inc HKR if need be given its a stadium for the whole city / East Riding.

Will the fans who have plaques around the concourse soon be receiving a bill soon under the new terms then.
