| Quote east hull FC fan="east hull FC fan"Here here, it's amazing that some people actually think that reardon grabbing his wife's arm and causing 3 bruises is in the same bracket as kicking a man in his head while he's on the floor!! FFS people need some perspective on this issue! also regarding the issue of the balloons being released - that was a stop domestic violence campaign by rehabilitating the offenders. So by that token if we had not signed him just because of his past that would of put egg on the boards face! people are over reacting more than when tommy lee has a bad game!
Reardon has apologised and shown remorse for what he has done, also he has stated that he wants to help the club in there continued community projects. This coupled with the fact he has joined a club miles away from the ex and the area surely shows he wants to start over.
Also, don't be fooled as to why warrington got rid, they wanted him off the payroll and anyone who disagrees and says it was for his actions is fooking stoopid!'"
So you think the judge has said he is giving serious consideration to a prison sentence because.......................... He grabbed an arm and caused three bruises?
Lets face it, I'm not shocked by some of your fans comments, you lot have always had serious double standards.
The thing I'm looking forward to is your clubs reaction when he is sentenced. If he doesn't go down, you gonna suspend and fine him? I doubt it, and you lot have the cheek to hang us out to dry over Cockayne.
At least we have punished him and are trying to address his issues with counselling. I doubt even on the back of a domestic violence campaign your club will be doing the same

| Quote hfc herts="hfc herts"Well from one point of view we need a full back.
Reardon is a quality full back on his day.
We had a woman beater in our side a couple of years ago and we got mighty piissed off when he fooked off to the scum.
The most he will get is 6 months which will be halved for good behaviour. ( he is being tried in a mags court not crown so max sentence is 6 months) I really see no point whatso ever though in signing a man for 2 weeks.
I am disappointed in the club, but not at all suprised by this turn of events.
On the point of Briscoe at full back I thought he played well for the U18s today, but isn't quite ready for SL.'"
Don't know about courts etc but taking the above true just to put a different slant on this , Hull have just launched (in conjuction with Domestic vilonce groups) a perpratrator programme were men who have been found guilty of domestic vilonce go on the programme to deal with their anger / resons (excuses) for violence against women / their beliefs etc to try to stop repeat offending . This is the only kind in the country now if our new signing is going to go through this programme I can see him receiving a suspended sentence .

Seems fine to me to compare two players of a similar age who play in the same position, its safe to say that up until very recently (while he has suffered a serious injury) that throughout there careers Reardon has been more highly rated in the game then Briscoe.

Why? He played on the wing for GB 5 years ago and not at full back so there is no comparison

Lets face it, I'm not shocked by some of your fans comments, you lot have always had serious double standards.
=darkblueWe have [inot[/i condoned this or Kickaynes behaviour.

Why? The offence wasn't committed while he was at Hull Fc.
I doubt it, and you lot have the cheek to hang us out to dry over Cockayne.
=darkblueAnd so we should.
At least we have punished him and are trying to address his issues with counselling.
=darkblueCounselling!!! After 2 years. [iIf [/ihe was in such a state he or the club would've sought counselling before then.
It's a cop out and everyone but you blinkered Dobbin fans can see it. . . He did serve his country with distinction though. FFS.
I doubt even on the back of a domestic violence campaign your club will be doing the same

=darkblueHe grabbed her arm, it caused bruises, he's admitted it.
Just out of curiosity, do you think Kickayne would've admitted the offence had he not been on CTTV?

Fair point, although it was Reardons form playing at fullback which resulted in the GB call up in my opinion as if you have the attributes to be a good fullback you will be able to do job on the wing, and without being sure id guess that if you look further back Reardon will probabally have had more junior honours and various rep honours etc to suggest he was rated higher.
