| Quote: thehullwhitestar "Why would Bradford let him go? He's one of the very few good things about their very poor squad.
He'll probably be on a decent salary due to his standing at the club so we'd have to offer him a lot of money AND pay a transfer fee. I just don't see us doing that for a 32 year old.
I'd love him to come but our pack is already one of the oldest in SL so I just don't see AP forking out a lot of money for a prop who'll probably give us 2 seasons.'"
Because Bradford need the money?

if he's come for a small fee (and I would say small would need to be less than £50k) then I doubt it will make much of a dent in Bradford's debts.

| Its all about the player if the player hands in a transfer request or tells Bradford he wants out then they would be a fool not to cash in on him.

True but I guess it also depends on what he is earning at Bradford and what youngsters they have to bring in. If they can see a way to offload him for a cash fee and bring in a suitable youngster they will save on his wages as well as earning a small fee as well.

Maybe AP only watches the BBC coverage of the game and sees them as a "dream" team !
Clare Balding might get the conditioners job? And Jonathan Davies at right centre ?

I don't see why we're taking on an ageing prop and not bringing our youngsters through. (If indeed it's true)

I like Lynch but i agree we already have plenty of "experienced" props in the side for next season. If we are going to pay a fee it would be more beneficial long term to look at a younger prop with plenty of years on the clock or better still promote from within if the players we have are capable.

Nothing would please me more as he's a smashing feller. You're actually on the right lines as he's played far too many minutes in an awful team.

Yes but who can we get what fits that criteria at prop that is why I said about some of the quality older guard going about.
How about Sonny Bill how old is he these days
Now that would be a statement of intent

| Would not be happy about Morgan as a coach. Not only is he a prize prat, I would want a proven coach who has been involved in actual winning teams.
Noble I would be fairly happy about.
As for Lynch, he would be a good addition IMO but we would definatley need another younger prop as well as him. Either promote one of our lads or look elsewhere.

| Quote: Kosh "Noble and Morgan would not be, IMO, the team to take us to where AP has said he wants us to be. I don't rate Morgan as much better than Agar (different strengths and weaknesses) TBH.'"
Don't get me wrong I would prefer a top level proven Australian coach to take over - I would far and away prefer that.
However having given it some thought I don't think Morgan's record is that bad compared to Agar's. Morgan has had less money to work with and a chairman making signings he probably didn't want on the basis of juvenile fan points scoring. With better players to work with and better facilities he may well improve more as a coach. Morgan's young player development is questionable and he likes his Aussie mates by all accounts. When it comes to motivational ability R****s have been consistently better motivated in the majority of derbies since their return to the top flight, whilst some of our performances against "lower" teams have exposed a shocking lack of motivation during Agar's tenure.
Noble would be a decent DOR in my view and I believe our club needs someone in that role going forward - we need to strengthen the on field performance so let's get an extra employee in who knows the game.

What debts?
Last set of accounts, apart from a few £k owing to the Club President, [ithere were no debts[/i.
