If we where at all interested it would have happened by now.
Lets face it, we are going to go into MM with what we have, might as well except it,

| If Moore is available and receptive to an approach we should make an offer straightaway. It wouldn't break the bank in terms of either a transfer fee or wages and it wouldn't be a disaster if he didn't make the grade.
Some of us have been saying all week that Sammut was still a possibility. Not nailed on but not dead in the water either (sorry for all the cliches) .
I get the impression that we may be stalling on Phelps in the hope of getting Sammut.
Phelps is definitely SL standard and i'm surprised that he hasn't got a berth yet. There are plenty of worse players in SL.
However if it becomes obvious that Sammut is not going to happen presumably Phelps' price will go up, although he can't afford to be too demanding unless there is other interest in him.

| The Mail understands FC have made further moves this week in an their ongoing pursuit of Crusaders' Jarrod Sammut.
The deal had looked dead as the Welsh outfit repeatedly stressed he would not be allowed to leave, and the 23-year-old this week spoke of his desire to have a successful season in Wales.
However, sources have told the Mail Hull remain confident of pulling off the deal, and Crusaders may be persuaded to let Sammut go if Rhys Hanbury is cleared to return to the Racecourse Ground.
Hanbury, who can play either half-back or full-back, is currently stuck in Australia awaiting visa clearance to return to the Crusaders.
Six Crusaders players were deported in 2009 over visa problems and the club are being cautious over when Hanbury and team-mates Frank Winterstein and Hep Cahill are allowed back into the country.

| TBH although Sammut would be good, we need to crack on with the whole thing, or we'll end up with him having had no training with the squad and being expected to be the saviour on half an hour's warm up. At this late stage he won't be ready for the MM game.

I'd be amazed if he didn't play at MM were we to sign him.

These were my thoughts until I remembered him last year when he jumped off a plane, got changed in the toilets, straight down to the pitch and single-handedly took Bradford apart.
Who needs training or learning set pieces!

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| He'd probably play at full back.

Quite possibly but I reckon he'd play in the halves if Horne wasn't fit. Phelps would be a different kettle of fish without a pre season behind him and probably wouldn't make the team with Whiting available at FB.

Turner and Long have been training together so they'll have a understanding, Sammut to join the line and play off the cuff? Perfect!

Actually I'd forgotten that too. Good point.

Your not wrong, it sounds like it would be a no lose situation for Hull if they made a bid for him. I cant comment on the kid as I have never seen him play but reports seem good on this lad. Must be worth taking a small risk on him!

Fortunately there doesn't appear to be a game plan or any set pieces to learn.
