| Quote: Dave K. "The main thing is to improve the robustness of the squad and get value for money, so signing Hardraker and Chamberlain to replace Sutcliffe and Scott makes sense.
Although Seizer has missed a few ganes, the last 3 seasons he has played 55 games, whilst Trueman has played 44.
Rapana has played over 20 games just about every season. Same with Asista apart from this year.
When was the last time we signed a captain and recent dream team player along with 2 players from the NRL who are first choice players.
Hopefully a new backroom team wi help this also and keep the likes of Abdul fitter, which he has shown he can do at London amd his first few seasons at Rovers, we're he was in MOS contention and playing internationally.
if this is our starting lineup first game, I can't see how anyone can say it is well ahead of this seasons side and that's without any coaching impact.

Hardraker
Rapana

Rapana is just the type of character we need. The Canberra fans without exception love him. He is described as a legend the heart and soul of the club and they are desperately disappointed he's leaving. He will bring many qualities but the fact is he's not a centre. He has only played there a handful of times during his career and not since 2021. He's a winger but can play fullback as he has done this season.
Walker starting at fullback and a specialist centre would surely have been the better option. The fact that Dan didn't include him in the starting 17 for next season suggests he's leaving.
Then there's the Cust playing hooker puzzle.

we were actually looking like a team who had a bit of direction with reynolds, trueman and walker in the team. Now we look a shambles

| Important to point out with Moy is that he has only been playing at Full Back for a couple seasons, he was predominantly a Hooker prior to then.
His height doesn't worry me too much, he is pretty solid under a high ball and that will only get better.
The obvious worry for Moy is he is really light, another youngster who will benefit from spending a lot of time in the gym over pre season.
His running game will improve with guidance and time, having someone like Rapana will really help in improving this.

Rapana has never played centre. Why would we suddenly play him there at 36?
Not a big fan of ashcroft myself, whoever he may be'"
He has but only a few times, he has never really played fullback, but transitions there a couple of years ago atv33. He could easily play anywhere across the backline in SL.
Moy has to work to do but with tome amd some good coaching could be an excellent SL player

Happy with him coming back, very highly rated as an assistant cisch, thought it might happen as I think his son has signed for Hull.
But he is an attacking coach we need?

Lol I never said he was a centre, perhaps it’s the way it was worded, I’ve slightly amended it.

| Apparently there is a rule that you can’t have two overseas coaches at one club, John wanted to bring his own assistant.

| not sure on last. We desperately need some fresh attacking ideas so bringing back the guy who has been involved for decades when we were pretty awful in attack doesn't fill me with confidence. Pretty much every team in the league other than catalans look like they have some structure in attack

Nowt silly about it regarding defence, he’s quite a capable defender.
Perhaps not the skill set, which is why these three games are ideal to look at this, pretty similar to the experiment of looking at Walker at six, until he was injured again.

Have to agree, would have been far from my choice.

It just smacks of an easy/cheap option.

| Jobs for the boys. Also giving houghton some role.
Our attack is woeful. Last clearly never had the capability to improve it and I doubt cartwright is an attacking coach. You only had to look at how cas set up in our 20 on saturday to see the difference. They looked organised, everyone knew what they were doing. The complete opposite to us
