Maybe the time is soon approaching when the 'unthinkable' has to considered. Times are hard & attendences are dropping. I am neither 'pro' nor 'anti'. I am though unsure whether a merger would benefit both clubs.

It makes sense about Galea, it always seemed a strange decision to change his mind on retirement...so maybe he was offered a coaching job as part of the deal? his injury has maybe just brought that forward a few months. He is still a registered player so could play for us this season if needed anyway.

No where did I say that, but it I think things should be put in context not just put in a tag line as though it is a "in the know" info. People can then read the full info and where it has come from.

Appreciate we havent set the world on fire, but to be fair, no Ellis, hardly any Holdsworth and of course the allusive number 7, he has had to do it the hard way.

With a fit team and a scrum half I think you would be seeing a different side, for that reason I say we stick with PG into next season.

Got to give him more time.

If we get a proper scrum half in for 2014 and 6 games in we are still rubbish he will have to fall on his sword - but I think he will get it right.

Good post Jimmy, although far from perfect i think PG is doing a good job, did great in his first year and has been a bit unlucky this year, with injuries to key players, rugby hasn't been great but I think things are starting to improve, in the Catalans game he got his tactics spot on and we played some great rugby.

Gentle must take some credit for the way he has handled the young players since he came, for the first time in years they look like Sl players from the off, instead of rabbits in headlights.

I mentioned this before, but some Hull fans are too inpatient and want instance success, I really believe that AP and PG and doing good things on and off the field, but it will take time to get where we want to be, after the mess left by the previous owners.

I think our squad is about the 6th best and I think we will finish there above Bradford and Saints, I good cup run will be a nice little bonus also.

This. It was never going to happen overnight. There were far too many problems at the club that needed fixing and right now I have faith in the hierarchy that they are putting things right.

McRae has not gone but I don't expect him to be here beyond the end of the season. When AP bought the club he knew nothing about RL and needed McRae. Two years down the line his knowledge of the game has grown and his need for McRae will have diminished.
