I hope you are right but £19 is a lot of money to someone skint and it is easy to see how it could be more attractive to save the money if it is on the box whether we are in form or not.

Agree. If we maintain a decent win ratio over the next couple of months I'd hope for a reasonable increase in crowds as the weather improves. Don't know what else the club could have done since AP's takeover to demonstrate we're taking things seriously though. Response is somewhat disappointing IMO.

It's expensive though. If someone is out of work or on a reduced income then the cost is significant. pearson needs to do something about the SMC user agreement and drop the match day prices to generate more interest

£19 in advance is reasonable compared to other SL clubs IMO.

It is expensive if you're struggling, but our attendances have severely dropped in the past few seasons and I don't believe that's because of the economic status of Hull. It's because we've been under achieving.

| The club have now posted an update.
less than 200 unreserved East Stand tickets left, and strong sales in the South and West. Sounds as though ticket sales are better than I thought.
rlhttps://hullfc.com/newsarticle.aspx?n
Really pathetic that the RFL's new electronic sponsor hoardings are to spoil people low down in the East Stands view though, and it sounds as though we have taken those rows off sale?
rlhttps://hullfc.com/newsarticle.aspx?n
nothing was wrong with the old hoardings, which rotated at the KC anyway.

"I definately feel there will be another try Ray" - Jonathon Davies, Saturday 27th August 2005.: |
|
| Didn't renew my pass this year because of the Sunday fixtures. Difficult to make Sundays so made decision not to bother. Trouble is once the pass has gone its difficult to get motivated enough to shell out the £23 to sit in the west stand. That's a lot to find, times two for me and the missus plus the drinks, eats etc. It aint cheap on a match by match basis.

I'd agree, but I can afford it. If my missus was an accountant I'd probably think it was loose change, however if I was a bloke with a wife and 3 kids, struggling to pay the bills and the rent then I'd probably think I'd rather stick some more petrol in the car this week. Things are tough for a lot of people

Did you only start going in 2009, then?

Circumstances changed thats all. Been a previous pass holder for 10 years or so and attended plenty before that. Always prefer a Friday night anyway. Much better for atmosphere imo. Tbh I never thought I would find it so easy to miss games and like i said previously, shelling out cash on a weekly basis seems to be a far worse option than taking a hit for a pass then "not paying" on a weekly basis.

| People are obviously watching more games on TV if SKY viewing figures are up 33%

Not saying for a minute that finances don't come into it, but I do think reasons for people not returning are not exclusively about money. The likes of Wigan, Warrington and Saints are doing OK for gates. If I were Pearson, I'd be disappointed with the response to the obvious effort and investment he and others at the club are putting in. I understand some will stay away through disillusionment with the old regime that has not yet lifted, but I don't believe there's much more that people could expect him to be doing.

| It's clear that the club just can't win on this one.

I agree and some of it is undoubtedly down to too many false dawns, however you can't really compare the economic conditions in the north west to those in Hull. You also need to factor in the number of games where those clubs get a significant away following.

Not yet, anyway. As Mrs. B said, some are so blinded by the old regime that it will take a lot for them to come back and actively support their team.
A good finish this season and maybe a decent cup run should start to sort it out. If we beat Leeds/Wigan/Saints at home that will do some good too.
