With Abdull confirmed perhaps an incoming announcement at 18.00

Abdull seeking another club well I never that just confirms what most of us knew in the first place that his injury was serious but hardly career ending. So now the question will be asked have we a half back lined up or did his idea of returning fit meet with our coaches exacting standards answers on a post card. As for announcements it will be good to get at least one more player signed up from Salford but any negotiating direct with the player rather than agents may be difficult as they are all sunning themselves on the Algarve in a pre season warm weather camp paid for when they should have been realising that such 'luxury's' might be off the agenda. what a mess.

No idea if its true but someone told me today that abdul only got a minimal payout as he hadn't met the terms of his contract due to not meeting fitness goals. Could be bs

Got to remember that while he was a marquee it was for salary cap exemption purposes, it doesn't mean he was on a massive sum and our owners have a much bigger budget than what we've ever had.

When will we hear about new signings from Salford ? The longer it goes on the better I assume as we’re not rushing Would a player swap work ? For me that’s a yes Hopefully some news by middle of next week

Salford arent allowed to even registered new players.

Byrne signing for Warrington in 2026 is a major problem for us. We’re in dire need of domestic props. oledzki & Bryne both have their clubs sorted. Only other decent options are Knowles & Lees who are both unrealistic targets

If the quota exemption is implemented does anyone think we should be in for Lafai? His contract expires at the end of this season so I would guess there's no need for a multi year deal. Hasn't got the pace of Cross but he's a far better player and we were interested last season.

Are there any other clubs we could look at offering a transfer fee to? The league is near insolvent and being proped up by wealthy owners, surely waving say £100k at a club would at least be considered (aside from a few big names, certain clubs that are also rich etc)

Jack Walker has signed for Sheffield. Pleased for him and hope he has better luck with injuries and uses this opportunity to get another crack at Super League sometime in the future.

It's a worry that we may miss out on our targets because at the moment we aren't exactly the most attractive destination for players who want out.

Warrington apparently have a quota spot left so at least if they're looking for a centre they will likely go Lafai or Macdonald, so hopefully they're sniffing around different players to ourselves.
