| Quote: bonaire "There will always be some on here that try and make a case for the signing of any player
The next stage now will be im quite optimistic now for next season.
Wonder where we have heard that before
Put whatever spin on the clubs recruitment you want but its poor with no strategy.
Cust for example where will he play
Rapira coming as a full back or wing when we are equiped there unless has been said Walker is leaving.
Sezer a halfback who failed miserably whilst at Leeds yet is deemed good enough for Hull FC.
Chamberlain on a three year deal who may not make the squad
All hail Ritchie'"
I don’t think you ever see an upside, or think anything other than short term. Plus the market is limited. The club is trying to rebuild not buy 13 superstars who are 25 yrs old. We are lucky in several ways that should make all hull fans happy- no relegation, some money has come in, a good youth system, some useful signings, some good signings, yes, some unknowns, a new coach. We have Myler and Ellis who have contacts too. Think we’ve done well given the context. Your mindset will challenge all that but that’s your way I guess. Look on the bright side

| Still think we will sign 2 more players, a centre and a forward.

| Have we had a definitive update on the quota rules yet? I guess as it stands Carlos will be leaving.

| I still don't think Sezer's the type of half we need but a lot of West Tigers fans have been posting many favourable comments about him on facebook which is encouraging.

Unless I've missed someone are Hardaker and Chamberlain and maybe Litten the only centre's we have for next season. If so that's madness we desperately need another one.

Guessing Rapana will be an option and Ryan Westerman too but yes, definitely could do with another one.

Think Dawson will be above Westerman, think he would have played first team this year without his injury
But yes, if we keep Walker and play Rapana there, think we are OK, if we lose Walker, we need another centre from somewhere.

Roman Dawson would probably have made his debut if he wasn't injured, hopefully he'll come into contention next year at some point.

Rapana - Walker presumably?
Hardaker - Sutcliffe
Chamberlain - Scott
Cartwright - Okunbor
Aydin - Jack Brown
Briscoe - Mcintosh
Cust - Morgan Smith
Abdull - Nu Brown
Sezer - Hoy
Bourouh - Houghton
Asiata - Pele?
Holmes - ?
Plus the emergence of Martin, Moy, Balmforth. Hopefully Barron can continue to impress and Staveley comes back strong.
Looking at it as a whole, I'd say we've improved the squad overall. Does it still have gaps? 100% I don't think anyone would deny that.
The club has been on a slow and steady decline for the last 5 plus seasons, it might take a steady increase to get back to where we want to be.'"
Totally agree with this post.. the key component to all of this is John Cartright and how he gets us gelled as a team, like what Peters has done at rovers.

And Rowley, I'm not convinced if we had signed, Brierley, Cross, Hakinson, Ackers, Watkins etc, they would have made the same impact at Hull.

It's not expected to change until next year as far as I'm aware.
Don't know how true it is but I've heard Carlos is going to York next season

Sao is a liability ill-disciplined, picks up a lot of knocks and is a poor one on one defeder, release him, bring is Eseh (even on loan) and get a quota

I agree and i think its a desperation and poor signing
Players in Australia are surrounded by quality and its little wonder someone like Sezer willl look better.
His form at Leeds should have told anyone with a brain that he is not up to it in S/L when required to step up.
You only have to look at Ligi Sao playing for Samoa
Looked good when surrounded by quality players but put him into a team that needs him to step up and thats what you get
