| Would AP back Degsey if he called for a new introduction of an elite league, and a breakaway from SL with sufficient funding?

| Quote: bishops finger "Your the most penalised team and you've had the most players suspended apparently, I wonder if Smith actually took the new tackle rules seriously during preseason and worked on new tackling techniques, because looking from the outside it wouldn't appear so.
Thankfully the MRP got the Brown decision right and you can argue the Ashworths ban is harsh, but the reality is that FC players are still putting themselves in these positions when other teams seem to have got to grips with it a lot better.'"
Did you see the Wigan v Huddersfield game the other week? Or the attempted tackle by Matty English on Chan of Wigan in the second half?
Something happened there because English staggered away from the challenge and nearly collapsed. Players from both teams rushed to him to hold him up. After treatment he went off for a HIA which he presumably failed because he never returned and missed their game this weekend.
Now that challenge was never replayed on tv or even mentioned by the commentators. But the seriousness of his condition means something must have happened? But it just seems to be ignored by everyone?
Contrast that with the way every tackle by our players is getting scrutinised by sky/the commentators/mrp and it just isn’t on.

The TV screens will be there too, for the protests to make a mark.'"
The club would probably get fined for “the inability to control your supporters ” line .Its a joke , something has got to give soon surely

I think we could potentially be moving into that area . Those running the game should be worried about a possible take over and themselves been kick out of the game by people who know how to run it properly .

| Walker finds out the extent of his injury today. Fingers crossed it's the best news possible.

Could do with some good news. He did have to sit out 3 months at Bradford though with a hamstring injury last year....

Many folk fire jibes at him but, he has massive passion for the game, and will not watch the game be driven into the ground. Like him or hate him, at least he's standing up to these farcical clowns at the RFL who are running/ruining the game.'"
Totally agree someone needs to stand up to the RFL.

It's a real shame, as he her started the season really well, does give the opportunity for Hoy to show us what he can do in his favored position, as well as possible game time for Litten

| Sounds like Bullock will be available for at least the Leigh game, doubt they will let him play in the cup game (which is fair enough)

I can't say I like or dislike Beaumont, don't always agree with what he has to say, sometimes think his outbursts are not helpful and can be a bit of a loose cannon at times so to speak. However what I will say is that he does seem to love the game and want to see it prosper and do better than it is and he isn't afraid to stand up and say something.
What he has been saying of late I don't think many could or would argue with the points he's been making. I do think he needs to be listened to and backed by some of the other owners to show a more united front with a much more powerful and coherent voice.
Would he be the man you'd want to directly lead the push for change probably not, but he is certainly someone that is worth listening to and having on board a group to push to effect fundamental changes within the way the sport is run and governed.

That's a fair assessment Chris. We all have views that are contentious at times, and Degsey is no different. In this case here, his objective to put the game in a better place is hopefully supported by other club owners. Will they? I'm not sure about that.

| It won't be long before certain teams will be carrying the ball and looking connect their head to the tacklers face, I'll give it a couple of weeks,if that.
